I'm trying to give up coffee and I'm trying a variety of teas but I can't find one that matches the full flavor of coffee.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Kafree Roma. When my dad's home, he has me make a cup of it for him at least every few days.

Maybe something that's not coffee-like, but still packs some flavor? I was thinking a nice chai of some sort. They make all kinds. Green tea, red tea, black tea. Anyway, load that up with some sugar and/or honey and some kinda creamer (I'd recommend heavy cream or half-and-half), and you've got yourself a tasty beverage. If you go for the green or red, the caffeine content will be reduced (green) or there won't be much caffeine at all (red). There might be even be decaf chai available now (not where I live, of course).

Why do you want to get rid of Coffee? Is it the caffein?

Not sure if its the caffeine but it makes me very tired and gives me a headache

Really? Thats odd. It gets rid of my headaches and makes more more awake.

Have you tried decaf? I have not had it before, but I hear it tastes about the same?

I've heard of being tired and getting headaches from caffeine withdrawal when trying to quit, but never from the coffee itself.

I squeeze about 1/2 a lemon into a large 12 oz cup of hot water and add sugar or sweetener. You have to play with the amount due to different sizes of lemons.
It is especially good in the winter and good for you.

The headache and what not from the coffee might be something else. Clearly, I'm not a doc or anything, but I got that from too much sugar and/or caffeine before I started taking B-vitamins as part of my orthomolecular routine. I'm not trying to push a whole new lifestyle on you, but a b-50 or b-100 and a couple grams of time release C can really improve your health a good bit.

Coffee started having an unpleasant effect on my guts about ten years ago.

I tried many alternatives but now have fairly weak, black Lady Grey tea. Try it just strong enough that you can only just see the bottom of the mug - and no sugar or milk of course.

Completely different from coffee but refreshing, very slightly stimulating and clean tasting. I still have coffee as the occasional treat but only when I know where the nearest ________________
