College Football - Changing the Landscape

Wow! Sounds like Nebraska is a lock to move to the Big Ten (where football is played the way it was meant to be played :thumb ). A month ago, before things really started to shake up, a sports radio team in Detroit was talking about some obscure story about Texas moving to the conference. Everyone laughed if off because no one thought a big program would be leaving a major conference (plus the proximity), but look at what's happening! No one's laughing now! :crazy How bad are Big 12 rivals going to want to punch Nebraska in the mouth over the next two years of their obligation? :chair

Can you imagine the Big 12 ceasing to exist as teams scatter for the Big Ten and Pac Ten? And the talk of the Big East being pillaged and folding? :chicken

This is crazy stuff going on, and NCAA Football looks like it's going to get a major overhaul! Many people speculating Notre Dame will finally cave into pressure and be forced to join the Big Ten which will have maybe 14-16 teams (and still be called the Big Ten :confused ).

What's College Football going to look like in 3 years? :shrug

I don't know I used to live in Kansas so that means that Kansas and Kansas State are really going to be hurting if things happen like everybody thinks. :shame :crazy

I heard today, Kansas is being wooed be the Big Ten. :chicken

Have you heard any rumors in Kansas?

All kinds of stuff. The Big 12 going after Arkansas. All of the NCAA is shape-shifting! :transformer

Bumping, because even in the middle of its off-season, college football is more exciting than soccer and should never come after World Cup in any forum! :D

Sorry Mike I used to live in Kansas, right now I'm up in Minnesota, so I haven't heard anything yet, but I would love for Kansas to become part of the Big Ten. But I'm more of a Kansas State Fan.

Things are really heating up now!

Texas, Texas Tech, OK, OK St. are rumored to be looking at the PAC Ten!! Texas A&M is considering them as well and also the SEC!

The Big 12 is dissolving as we speak! :crazy

I'm wondering how this will all shake out as well. BSU joined the MWC last week, to generally good reviews but now it appears that Utah is considering jumping to the PAC-?? (whatever, who knows how many teams will be in the PAC by the end of all of this.) BSU has definitely outgrown the WAC, and goodness knows we needed to move upward, but MWC isn't going to be nearly as strong without Utah.

Oh well, I'm sure that however all these conferences wind up, my beloved Broncos will continue to be a burr in the backside of the BCS!!! :D

(But if they ever shunt BSU to the "kid's table" again, they'll have ME to deal with. I might only be a short, middle-aged housewife from the middle of nowhere, but I can mom-slap with the best of them! :boxing )

:yes You got that, Brother!

Will I just heard the Texas will stay in the Big 12 (which will now contain 10 teams), but Nebraska will joined the Big Ten (which will now have 12 teams) and Colorado will be in the Pac 10 which of course will now have 11 teams :confused :confused :confused !

Does anyone else understand this?

Utah just jumped to the Pac Ten. Now, maybe they're the Big 12...

Is anybody besides me a fan of the military academies? They can't recruit basket-weavers for players, so they have a rougher time than most. But I'm always happy when one of them gets ranked.

Dora, your Broncos are killing it against Va Tech! Filthy!

That TD catch by the Boise tight end was off the hook! :shocked!
