Confirmation email

I changed my email address but did not get an confirmation email.

Sounds like your new email address gave you a new profile with limited privileges..

Just out of interest, have you received the confirmation email? It might be in your spam/junk folder.

Not yet, no were to be found. I did receive one but it took a long while to get to my email so I requested a new one and than I clicked on that one because I thought it was the new one but it was not. The second one never came yet

Ah. If you requested a second one, the first becomes invalid.

How long did the first one take?

Just change the User Status to Valid, in the user's profile in the admin cp.

the first confirmation email for me came after an hour tho u might have to wait a little

Emails are sent via Cron Jobs. Its a fancy way of saying certain things are done on a timer. When the timer strikes, all processing for said task is completed.

Nick. Check and see if you can adjust the timer.
