Bible Study Continual Deeper & deeper walk with God

1 AND God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother. 2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away * the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments: 3 And let us arise, and go up to Beth-el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went. 4 And they gave unto Jacob * all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.
6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Beth-el, he and all the people that were with him. 7 And he built there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padan-aram, and blessed him. 10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called * his name Israel.
14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon. 15 And Jacob called * the name of the place where God spake with him, Beth-el.

When you look up Padan-aram in the Strong's it is the Hebrew word min or minniy. It means, “from“ or “out of”. God commanded Jacob to come out from, sanctify himself and come to Bethel, the place where can hear God, and where he once heard God’s voice and met with Him. Bethel means house of God.
In the same manner God wants every believer to ‘come out from’. From whatever is holding you back. For one it will be coming out from being on the cell phone, another it could be from playing games, another the TV and another associations or even party associations like the DEMONcrat party.
It is impossible to vote for a party that stands for child sacrifices and sodomy and walk with God at the same time. Eph 5:3 says fornication, and all UNCLEANNESS, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. If you dig into anyone that votes for this party it is rooted in self, the party promises to benefit me one way or the other or they are going to take from someone else and give it to me. This is rooted in COVETOUSNESS.

Jacob had any false gods put away. Meaning, he sanctified himself. He returned to Bethel and built an alter. Jesus said in Mat 6:6 KJV But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret. Have you created a prayer closet? This is after the custom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob building an alter to meet with God daily.

I could say more on these verses but I am limited in Gab space so I will close.

I agree. Coming out of whatever is holding you back will be different for different people. It is actually pretty interesting. Jesus told different people to do different things in following Him. Some were told to go home. Some were told to leave home. One was told to sell everything and follow Him. One was told he had to be born again. Soldiers were told by John not to steal and to be content with their wages. A Roman military man was told his faith was greater than anyone Jesus had yet met. Does not seem to be a one-size-fits-all matter.

Yes, God does want His children to "come out from among them and be separate and touch not the unclean thing." (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) But the phone-addicted Christian, or the believer caught up in pornography, or the temperamental child of God who flies off the handle on a regular basis knows that any addiction is wrong, that temper, or lust, or moral apathy are not of God. And yet, though they are born-again believers, they behave like the "carnal babes in Christ" who occupied the first-century Church at Corinth (1 Corinthians 3, 5, 6, 11). If it was just a matter of saying "No" to temptation, of simply deciding to "come out from" phone or porn addiction, or anger, pride, lust or fear, or whatever, wouldn't every Spirit-indwelt believer do so without having to be told? Wouldn't sanctification be the natural result of being indwelt by the Spirit of Christ? But it isn't. Both among the very first believers of the Early Church and among believers today, sanctification was/is a big problem. Clearly, "just say no" isn't going to be sufficient to remedy this situation. It wasn't for the carnal believers at Corinth. (See: Romans 6; 8; 12:1; James 4:6-10; Colossians 3:1-10, etc.)

Slowly, in North America, moral issues have been made political ones, and as this has happened, Christians are backing away from them. Abortion, homosexuality, transgenderism, racism, sexual promiscuity, addiction - these are all moral and spiritual issues, fundamentally, not political "footballs." No one has more to say on these issues than the Christian to whom God has delivered the special revelation of His will and way in Scripture and who ought to be out in the public square and within the precincts of their own community proclaiming it loudly, warning the saved and the lost that sin is sin and always produces death and judgment. (Romans 6:23; Galatians 6:7-8; James 1:14-16; John 8:24; Matthew 16:24-27, etc.)

I have a better question. Are you struggling with certain sins? If so do you want to overcome these sins? If you do there is good news through the new covenant ratified by the blood of God Himself. I hear what I heard from your own words.

You would have to undo some of the doctrines of demons predominant in your western church thinking process. It's not easy when certain mindsets are ingrained not based off scripture. Paul in Hebrews warned Christians of unbelief causing them to not enter into His promises and His rest.

Hebrews 3:19 KJV — So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Hebrews 4:6 KJV — Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Hebrews 4:11 KJV — Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

You can walk in a place of personal revival and you can be ye perfect even as your heavenly Father is perfect. Christ is not a cruel Lord commanding something knowing it was impossible. In fact, this is normal Christianity. This is a healthy growing Christian that continues to grow not in head knowledge but in spirit with the word of God working mightily in him and the grace of God is evident 8n their life. Unfortunately, the majority of those in American churches are bastards and the grace of God is not evident in their life

The Christian who saw His Lord as a hard master buried His talent and he is cast out. He is the foolish one that built his house on sand. Neither did not overcome. Both names that we're mist likely removed.

If you are walking in habitual sin it is a sign you may not become born again. Not to offend, your view of being born again is lacking. Are you a Christian? Has His commandments been written in your heart? Are you born again?

Yes. It's working. Hopefully it remains working after a reboot.
I forgot to tell you. When addressing a particular member in your postings you need to add their name to your post so we know who you are addressing.

This is how you do that looks like this @ for_his_glory but do not use any spaces for_his_glory
