Could Christ have sinned?

I don't like sin either but that doesn't stop me from committing sin. In Hebrews 4:15 where it says He was tempted "was in all points tempted as we are" the implication is that He had to say no to things that He desired.

The difference between He and me is that He puts God first in all things where I fail to do that 100%.

People forget Jesus didn't have a sin nature.

Pretty much what I posted earlier but I still struggle to see how that reconciles the Scritpures that seem to contradict. Scripture says Jesus was tempted in all ways that we are. In other words, He does like the chocolate cake. I think the difference is that He was able to say, "No!" when the cake was offered whereas we too easily give in to the desire to have the cake.
We have to overcome sin, and Christ is our example, who through His overcoming as fully man, now can give us life.

1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Its what scripture shows us:

Romans 8:3 King James Version (KJV)
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Its clear that Christ was made to be like us and could have sinned. We also have these verses:

Hebrews 2:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

John 1:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus is what is considered as impeccable...Jesus could not have sinned. If jesus could sin then, Jesus could sin now.
To believe Jesus could sin is to believe God could sin...and you know God can't sin. Especially when you understand the fullness of God was in Jesus.

Jesus was tempted by Satan and didn't sin because He couldn't sin.

Maybe your Jesus could have sinned, but my Jesus couldn't, because He is God.

Just for clarity, what do you mean by "partakers of the divine nature."
Here is a good article in Christianity Today on this...

There’s nothing to reconcile because...

Being tempted / temptation ≠ a sin / sinful
Very true, its like when Christ told Peter that the devil wanted to "sift" him like "wheat". Peter had not sin but he would be tempted.

Luke 22:31
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

And Peter head strong as always said that he would face whatever came even if it meant prison or death, and Christ prophesied what Peter would do.

Luke 22:34
And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

And Peter was "sifted" like wheat and stumbled when he denied Christ...

Luke 22:61
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

I don't like sin either but that doesn't stop me from committing sin. In Hebrews 4:15 where it says He was tempted "was in all points tempted as we are" the implication is that He had to say no to things that He desired.

The difference between He and me is that He puts God first in all things where I fail to do that 100%.
A lot to be told in this thread, people with various ideas, and nobody certain or able to answer with scripture, the certainty of this question.

I will answer to WIP, because there is a claim made here, reminding me of the scripture whether Jesus had desire or not, to the sins WIP said they commit.

1. We have to be quickened from being DEAD, in trespasses and sins. We are DEAD, when we walk according to the course of this world, the spirit that works in the children of disobedience.

We had our ( now holy) conversation in the past, in the lusts of the flesh, we fulfilled the desires of the flesh, and of the mind, being by nature the children of wrath. ( no longer we can have the desires of the flesh.)

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

2. Others brought up reminder for me in scripture, let me remind everyone.

We are born of Christ, born of God, which is not born of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but the will of God. The word was made flesh, and is the glory of the only begotten of the Father, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.

Christ opens our eyes, turning us from darkness to light, from the power of satan, unto the power of God. ( sanctified, made holy, by faith which is in Christ.

Christ cannot deny Himself, we are dead with Him, ( dead to sin with Him, to be alive unto God.)

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Romans 6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Hebrews now speaks more details for all who took part in this thread so far.

We have our High Priest, Jesus Christ the Son of God, who was tempted, ( the feeling of our infirmities are our temptations)

That is why we come to the throne of grace. ( so we will not be tempted with evil, to be able to hold the profession of our faith.)

Learning of the Son of God, who is able to save us, as He lives for ever to make intercession for us.

That High Priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens, who did not make offering for HIs own sins or desire of sins, but offered up Himself a pure offering, through the eternal Spirit He offered Himself without spot to God, the Son who is consecrated for evermore.

Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

God is not tempted of evil, cannot desire what those in the carnal mind desire, ( sin) but when they are tempted, they are drawn away of their own lust, ( own desire, not Gods desire, as God cannot be tempted with evil/desire.) their sin conceives and they bring forth death. ( we are dead to sin with Christ.)

Christ suffered for us in the flesh, ( tempted in the flesh) and when we have suffered in the flesh, ( tempted, but not desiring) we have CEASED FROM SIN. ( with Jesus Christ who is the example of no possibility of sinning)

This is us NO LONGER living the rest of the time in the flesh to the will of man, now it can only be the will of God. ( when in the same Spirit of Christ.)

James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

What is it to be born again of Christ ?

That is the overcoming of the world, it is overcoming even as Christ also overcame, it is recognising and confessing that God puts it in the heart of the wicked to fulfil what the wicked do, and likewise gives the will of God to the righteous, born of Christ.

1 John 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

I am asking Free, the op, to shut this thread down also, because it is teaching that Christ can sin, instead of the acknowledgment that God is love, and love works no ill.

For example, 1. not possible that God can lie.

God cannot say something and not do it.

Christ cannot bear false witness, He is the true witness.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Romans 13:9 For this, 3. Thou shalt not commit adultery, 4. Thou shalt not kill, 2. Thou shalt not steal, 1. Thou shalt not bear false witness, 5. Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

2. God/Christ, cannot steal, it is the devil who is the thieving spirit

Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

2. Christ cannot commit or desire to do adultery, because it is testified, those who commit adultery lack understanding, and the love of Christ is opposite to this, HIs love is past all knowledge/understanding.

Proverbs 6:32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

4. Christ cannot kill or desire to kill, He came to save mens lives. ( again showing the ones who hate their brother, have not got Christ in them, who is eternal life, who gave us this understanding, that they who wish or desire to hurt others are of the WRONG SPIRIT.)

Luke 9:54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

5. Christ cannot covet, His hands made all these things

Acts 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
50 Hath not my hand made all these things?

Christ is the example of Gods love, and this thread is the example of antichrist. Read this and SEE why they are of the world who promote and allow such threads. ( if they do not have the love of the Father in them, they have the love/desire of the world instead, which passes away.)

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

I have actually been giving this a lot of thought since I last participated in this thread. What does it mean for God the Son to set aside equality with the Father and become “incarnate”? To actually lay aside “equality with God”. We KNOW that Jesus did not employ all of His OMNI- attributes while he lived as a man on Earth. For one thing, He feared and He hurt and He died.

Yet Jesus also said that He and the Father were one and to know Jesus was to know the Father. So I have concluded that in his material essence, Jesus was every bit a man just like us … fully subject to all the feelings and temptations that we are. However in his “essence” (His moral character), Jesus was as much in sync with God the Father as He ever was. Therefore, Jesus could be tempted and was probably PHYSICALLY capable of an act of sin, but to commit an act of sin was completely foreign to His personality … to WHO JESUS WAS, so Jesus WOULD never choose to sin.

It is the opposite of Total Inability (Depravity) and repentance. Every human being is naturally physically capable of crying out to God (as Romans 1 states) but every human being chooses to hide from God rather than run to God because every human being has sinned (like John 3:19-20 talks about and Adam demonstrated). We CAN repent but WILL NOT. Jesus CAN sin (be tempted) but WILL NOT. God needs to change OUR hearts, but GOD’s heart already IS Jesus’ heart.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Let me break this down for us then, and face up to the examples you have brought.

Did Jesus die as a man dies, or when Jesus died, it was not possible for Him to be held in death ?

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

Acts 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

OK that is an easy one to know, the Son of God does not die like other men die, because unlike men, who are death, Christ is life.

The next question is the fear Christ had, was that like a normal man has fears, or this was for a purpose also ? ( the same as dying was for a purpose, to reveal He is eternal life for us to no longer believe in men who are death, but in God who came to earth to show us how to believe in Him, who is life, and this world and death cant prevail against Him as He overcame them to show us how to overcome even as He also overcame.)

That gave us a big clue, that God cant do things. like a natural man, as being the Spirit, is not being a natural an, and those born of he Spirit are not natural man either.

Look with me in Hebrews 5, the Son does not glorify Himself ( which means God does not assume anything, God goes through the process for righteousness.)

Christ becomes the begotten of the dead, the day of being begotten from the dead. ( after the third day risen.)

That is when Christ becomes our High Priest, which is as told in Hebrews 7, the word of the oath ( the word of eternal life, since the law. Psalm 133. ) when the Son is consecrated for ever more.

Fulfilling the word of Him being a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec, which is SWORN BY GOD, who makes it certain.

Christ then we understand, is already life, and in order for this to be established on earth, we witness Christ in His flesh, with strong tears, making supplications to the Father able to save from death. ( Christ learns obedience by what He suffered, to BECOME THE AUTHOR OF ETERNAL SALVATION UNTO ALL THOSE THAT OBEY HIM.)

If your ears are not dull, then hear with me the purpose of God, was not for Christ to fear so He cannot do the purpose of God, which is to be who He already is, it is to show to us all that Christ overcomes, for us to overcome, it is believing in perfection on earth, which we see Christ was made on earth, who was already the High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, and revealed how we can believe in this.

Psalm 110:4 The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Psalm 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Hebrews 5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

Hebrews 7:28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Remember, ( anyone reading with me on this blasphemous forum.) how the Son did not glorify Himself.

Christ shows this in John 12, how the HOUR HAD COME THAT THE SON OF MAN SHOULD BE GLORIFIED.

Jesus showed that, unless He, that corn of wheat falls into the ground and died, He, the corn would remain alone, but if it die, Jesus Christ, that corn of wheat, it, He, brings forth much fruit.

Jesus also shows that He does not love HIs life in this world but hates it, that is how any man will keep their life unto life eternal. ( Jesus Christ is the life and light of men, who cant be as darkness which is what all men are.)

Now the soul of Christ was troubled, and in the same moment Christ says save from this hour, He says for US TO KNOW......, FOR THIS CAUSE HE CAME UNTO THAT HOUR.

Jesus glorifies the Father through this, which casts the prince of this world out, because the voice of God came for our sakes in this moment, it was the judgement of this world. ( Jesus shows He is being lifted up, back to heaven, to lift all men up to Him.

Matthew 26, shows to us the same way, how Jesus has sorrow unto death, and prays for the cup to pass, but in the same moment, shows it is NOT AS HE WILLS. ( Jesus prays to show us the fear He faces up to, and casts out.)

Matthew 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 12:23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Speaking of the fear that people think Christ had. ( also thinking Christ has desires, and that Christ can sin.)

God, ( Jesus Christ unknown to those who deny Him, the antichrist spirit in all the world.) is love, and love is perfect. ( Jesus Christ was heard in that He feared, and being made perfect He became the author of eternal salvation unto all those that obey Him, as He shows He is consecrated for ever more.)

Our love is made perfect, ( as we believe in Jesus Christ being made perfect to show us He is the author of eternal salvation unto all those that obey Him.) when God dwells in us we dwell in love, and dwell in God, and there is NO FEAR IN LOVE, BUT PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR, HE THAT FEARS IS NOT MADE PERFECT IN LOVE.

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love

Men however are different, there are men of the world, of the flesh and there are those of the Spirit.

If a man of the world and flesh is tempted, they believe in and trust in evil, but if born of God, they cant be the same, as all old is passed away and all is become new and of Christ.

So all men were dead, in sins, and if they remain in ins they remain in death.

We are joined with Christ, which is why we are told that we cannot sin, BECAUSE IN HIOM THERE IS NO SIN. ( to know any man after the flesh is to know sin, we no longer know any man after the flesh, we no longer know sin., to be pure, even as Christ is PURE.)

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

I will explain Romans 1 for us all reading in the theology forum.

The just live by faith, the unjust do not.

The unjust hold the truth of God in unrighteousness. What is understood by man is His eternal power and Godhead, which is Christ not death but life on earth, and the fulness of the love of God. ( not fearing, but casting fear out, not hating, but loving all.)

Men are not glorifying God as the Son of God glorifies Him, the Son of God we just read, did not consider Himself, but only to draw all men to Him up to HEAVEN, to show who He was, which was already the High Priest of God of HEAVEN.

Man becomes vain to not believe in the testimony, and they show that they think they are wise, to make evil surmisings about God, that He can sin and have desires as they have and do sin, this is them becoming FOOLS.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

The condemnation again condemns everyone who tries to teach that God can sin, because light is come into the world, the light shined into the darkness ( that is man) and man cant understand what light is. ( light is the life of men that cannot be out out by darkness.)

If anyone comes to the light, their deeds are reproved to be the same as the light. ( not desiring, as when in the flesh. Ephesians 2:3.)

Our whole body is either light or darkness, and when full of light there is no part dark. ( if we know that men desire lust and sin, we know that God does not and cannot)

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 3;19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Luke 11:36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

I ask this last time of the OP Free, if the Ops will not delete this thread, it has been answered how it is blasphemy, and shows how near the end is, that on a Christian website, they promote and allow, what the muslim book teaches, that Christ was not God, and was just the same as any other man.

Jesus Christ is no the same as men of this world and of the flesh, even though the reason they want that excuse, is to excuse why they can commit sins, and have Christ as an example, who felt their desires too.

All of that is added to scripture, because we see Jesus Christ the Son of God desired only what He fulfilled, which was to show HIs love on earth, which cannot fail.

Jesus Christ is what is perfect, perfect does not desire, that is what imperfect does, perfect does not fear, that is what imperfect does, perfect does not die to remain in death, that is what imperfect does.

Charity suffers long and is then kind, is never puffed up, ( Christ is meek and lowly in heart) it cannot behave unseemly, is cannot seek its own, it THINKS NO EVIL, it cannot rejoice in iniquity ( sin) it can only rejoice in the truth, ( it is the Spirit of truth and God also cannot lie)

Charity we see in Christ, bears all, believes all, hopes all, endures all, charity NEVER FAILS. ( charity cannot fail.)

To put on charity is to PUT ON THE BOND OF PERFECTNESS, to put on Christ, and the heresy has to stop on this forum.

Colossians 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1 Corinthians 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Look at the testimony given in what the devil tempted Christ with.

Firstly Jesus has this example for us as soon as anointed with the Holy Ghost, then Christ is led of the Spirit.

He fasts forty days and nights, He was hungry, but not where those of the flesh would desire, lie or steal, the devil suggests to turn stones into bread, but we see what is in the mind and heart and Spirit of Christ, how we live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. ( not a thought or answer those of the flesh can have or know inside of them.)

Then the devil gives suggestion to tempt God, to put God to the test to rescue you when you need no re3scue, the answer is the simplicity that is in Christ, we shall not tempt the Lord our God.

The next is the devil offering all the glory and kingdoms of the world, and what that means, is the worshipping of the devil, the Sprit answer is that we worship the Lord our God, and Him only you shall worship. ( again, it is not the thoughts and actions of those of he flesh, who serve God and mammon which is not truthful or can be done.)

Turning two chapters in Matthew, to chapter 6, we see the answer taught by Jesus, we cannot serve two masters, of course Jesus through the Spirit was showing we cannot worship anything other than the Lord our God.

James 4, tell us of where these lusts of those in the flesh come from, as they have the wrong spirit in them. ( the spirit of error, of the wicked, the spirit that now work in the children of disobedience..)

The adulterers who really do desire in the flesh, are friend with the world, but they cannot show Christ to be like they are, because no word of God is on their side, it tesitifies against them.

Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

James 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?

Matthew 4 showed Jesus led of the Sprit, which is because as many as be led of the Spirit, they are the Sons of God.

Those who live after the flesh have not mortified the deeds of the body, ( they claim Jesus Christ could sin ?) Instead of able to acknowledge we receive the Spirit of the Son, heirs of God, joint heirs with Christ, if we suffer with Him, to be glorified together.

The past those of the flesh had their conversation in the lusts of the flesh, to fulfil desires of the flesh and of the mind.

But this we are told those in the Spirit do not fulfil the lust of the flesh, the works are adultery, wrath, strife, uncleanness, lusts, idolatry, they are not of the Kingdom of Heaven. ( they are not Christ, could not be, never where.) We are led of the Spirit ( not under the law to sin) as Christ was led of the Spirit, as said in Matthew 4.

Christ is instead the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. ( no desires) and they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Romans 8 spoke of us being led by the Spirit, to mortify he deeds of the body to live, to be the Sons of God. To suffer with Christ to be glorified together. 1 Peter 4, tells again what that means, as Christ suffered for us in the flesh, we have the same mind, for he that has suffered in the flesh has CEAED FROM SIN, to NO LONGER LIVE IN THE FLESH TO THE LUSTS OF MEN, but NOW TO THE WILL OF GOD.

2 Peter 2, also tells why this forum and threads which promote blasphemy has done so,, it is by them speaking great swelling words of vanity, to allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. ( the spirit of error, instead of being led by the Spirit of Christ.)

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Ephesians 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Are the Ops of this Christian forum, not a believer at all in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, you think it is normal to have a thread that teaches that Christ can sin ?

It is not possible for God to lie, Jesus Christ is the Spirit if truth, how can He lie ? Christ came to bear witness to the truth, how can He desire against what He came for, to be possible to bear false witness ?

Can Jesus be like Judas who is the thief who had the bag, and satan entering into him ? Do you think it was possible for Christ to thieve, or these questions here are blasphemy, never mind foolish ?

Can Christ desire to commit idolatry, to covet, seeing as He is God, and knows who He is, can He deny Himself, or that is being done by allowing this thread here all this time ?

Last is adultery, Jesus taught us to look on a woman to lust after her is committing adultery in the heart, so how can you guys conclude Christ is capable of desiring like you say you people do ?

If you people want to portray to atheists, how they can be Christians, because Christians are the same as they are, and that Jesus has the same desires as they do, you either did praise to God or you blasphemed Him in the Spirit. ( you wont get forgiveness anyway.)

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 8:13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

John 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

John 8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

John 12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Tread lightly … too far in the “Christ is not like us” direction lies Docetism, Apollinarianism, Eutychianism [Monophysitism], and all the other heresies that deny the true humanity of Jesus by overemphasizing His divinity.

[I have no objection to being wrong, but I have a BIG problem with a Jesus that was not a man, temped like us in all ways yet without sin, and with a High Priest who cannot understand … because that makes scripture false. THAT would be a big problem.]

You have a problem with being wrong, as you have ignored all scriptures, and they show to be wrong is to have the spirit of error.

Jesus was tempted like all ways we are when we are led by the Spirit, not when we are led by the flesh. You are answered, and will be judged not by me, or by this blasphemous forum, but by Gods righteous judgement.

The High Priest can understand, as He is us. One with Him, he thats joined to the Lord is one Spirit.

John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

It is very blasphemous to say Christ could sin or that He had desires, ( as those in the flesh desire and sin) it is denying Christ to not be pure as He us pure, to read and believe how He and we cannot sin.

Allowing these opinions and this thread means this forum promotes sin in the name of Jesus Christ., instead of looking for Him WITHOUT SIN. ( how blasphemous to think Christ can sin when He came to BEAR THE SNS OF MANY.)

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

I am just giving a little testimony to a very unholy forum, it wont be corrected on a single thing, instead it keeps to so many bad evil surmising threads.

Even people who have no shame, must see how bad it is, and almost have a little shame for what they do here, or at least sense some bad judgement will be coming their way for it soon, why else is all of this told now for everyone to see fulfilled, the subtle ways of the devil being taught constantly in a place like this, that wont hear any correction in righteousness at all.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
