Country ,city or small town...just for fun

Ok so this is just for fun,Which do you prefer to live in out in the country,in the city or in a small town? For me I grew up in a small town but we had our own flea market, pizza place, flower shop etc and plenty of neighbors so halloween was the best!So my first choice is small town but my second choice is city either way I want to be close enough to things I need /conveniences.

once my county/ city was less then 100,000. my wife when I get pictures from the 50's, 60's will remember that era. if I say langhbens bakery she says man they were good. or pete's meat or super dip. rexall drugstore.

I used to think I was a City girl until I lived in a remote area on acreage.I love it.But I do not like to live so far out that it takes an hour to get to the grocery store. There is one grocery store where I live now.We are moving to an area that is 5 minutes to a small town that has 3 grocery stores and much more.I will like that.

Country first, small town second and what I mean by small town is less than about 1,500 people. I guess my life has reflected this desire. I grew up in Kinney, MN, population 203 and graduated with 33 classmates from Buhl, MN, population 1,100. Today I live on an 87 acre hobby farm about 2 miles from Osakis, MN, population 1,300.

One of the most common comments I hear from family and friends that visit our home is how peaceful it is to sit outside on our deck or lawn. The only noise that comes close to resembling city life is the sound of traffic passing by on I-94 about 2 miles away across country. During the summer months when the trees are covered in foliage, we don't hear that very well either. Mornings are my favorite time. I often enjoy sitting on our deck with a cup of coffee watching the birds, deer, and other wildlife as it awakens with the sunrise.

This. I grew up seven miles from the nearest small town, and would prefer to live in it, but I'd also be comfortable with the city. As long as I'm close to conveniences, I'm good.
