This past few weeks our mail has been bombarded with credit offers, has anyone else noticed this? It seemed to be pretty quiet for a long time concerning these sort of advertisments, but lately we have had a lot. Do you think this means that the credit system is being freed up a bit?

Well, someone seems to be saying, 'no'. :shame

I edited this, because I noticed my other article was outdated...still wondering and looking.

The other day I went past a bank that had a large banner that read: YES, WE ARE STILL GIVING LOANS. And my mail is always full of car dealers' loan offerings. As for credit card offers, I don't get them as much anymore. I try not to buy anything on credit anyway. Too stressful!

Since I went bankrupt about 4 or 5 years ago, no one will give me any credit--not even my credit union where I do my banking. They could take the payment directly from my account and still won't give me their credit card. My credit has been flushed down the toilet.

Jon-Marc,

I thought everyone's credit had been flushed for a while. I didn't see any offers for a long time, but all of a sudden I am seeing them again.

JoJo,

We are not credit people either, but it's not because of stress it's because of finance charges. ;)

Your credit being flushed down the toilet is best thing that could happen to you bro. Christians should live according to their means not their over indulgent flesh petting desires. I am not accusing anyone personally but it seems to me that if God says He will supply our needs we should not try to get credit cards to live past that need. My wife and I are so broke most of the time it aint even funny - well as matter of fact it is funny because when we think we will be kicked out of our home GOD does what God says He will do.....Take Good Care of Us! Well there ya have it My :twocents and it is not a loan LOL

Unfortunately, many needs are very expensive, and I haven't noticed God putting food on my table without my having to pay for it. He enabled me to work and retire and to have a pension (such as it is), but I don't believe my needs would be supplied without money. I will say that God has at times unexpectantly supplied me with money I needed for bills when I wasn't able to come up with it, but I don't believe He is going to supply the needs of anyone who refuses to work for it.
