He asked the Father to forgive them just as Jesus is our intercessor/mediator before the Father when we ask for forgiveness. Jesus had no anger towards those who persecuted Him to death. God grants the authority to forgive sins and Jesus being the Son of God who forgave the sins of all mankind through His sacrifice under God's power and authority given to Him while on earth.

Agreed, except we asking g for forgive ess repe t of our si s.
What evidence do you have that the executioners of Jesus and the murderers of Stephen express any regret for their actions?

I never mentioned anything about the executioners expressing any regret.
No, God only forgives those who humble themselves before Him and repent of their sin.

You have come full circle from a false view that Jesus forgave his excutioners to a correct biblical view that as they had not humbled themselves and repented of their sins, he would not forgive them.

Forgiveness is for all who repent and turn back to God, John 3:16. I never said His executioners repented, but if they did then they would have been forgiven.
This title "cross OR torture stake" is a typical false dilemma - presenting two mutually exclusive options for you to choose, but actually upon close analysis, these two options are not mutally exclusive, or there're third, fourth or more other optinos. This is the most common logical fallacy which we should be aware of and avoid as much as possible.
what about the part if hung on a cross the person takes days to die.yet for Jesus and the other two died in hours of being hung up. yes something is different when hung by ones hands
