Bible Study Curious

I am interested if anyone would wish to go on an adventure through some of the "other" books with me. A lot of people have been commenting on other books that are not in the Bible canon of the Protestant churches and I think it would be beneficial if we explored these books for ourselves and compared them to the Word of God.

So if anyone would be interested in reading through these books, maybe chapter by chapter, and comparing them to God's Word (the 66 books) let me know and we can start up a thread.

(I ask here because it would be a bit of an undertaking and I want to get people who are willing to be dedicated to this and not just popping in and out with random comments.)

Pard I would be more than happy to go through with you. However, it cannot take presidency over my study in Scripture. I know that you feel the same way. So between study in Scripture, family, and fellowship; it might take a while in another book. :)

But like I said. I will go with you on this journey. I have gone through, very quickly, but gone through the book of Enoch. It has been said to be one of the more widely accepted books. It is also said that it used to be in the cannon. I did not study it hard. And I did not take the time to compare. I was just interested in it. It was definitely a good read. I did not come away with any false theology from it. I figure if people can sit down and watch movies and tv shows that are contrary to Scripture, it can not hurt to sit down and read a book that has at one time been deemed Scriptural.

Anyways, let me know.

I have a deep interest in reading the bible in the original languages and finding out exactly why we have what we have today to be honest. Once I know what we have, I'm interested in why the other books were excluded. Although I already know the reasons for some of them.

So I'll say pass, but interesting idea. I might have a look in from time to time if you do do it. Hope you get the people.
