Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Bible Study dangerous verse f you ask Mec anything in My name, I will do it.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

“If you love me, keep my commands.
John 14:13-15 NIV

…….

This has given rise to the so-called 'name it and claim it' brand of false teaching. Janis Joplin got a laugh out of this back in the '60's with "Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz My friends all drive Porsches I must make amends"

Slightly earlier than that James set this straight: "you ask and receive not because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts" (James 4:3)

Context is key! God has a way of keeping His power out of the wrong hands

The things we ask for are not always right for us as God will always honor the request of the heart so His name will be praised.
