Phew, what a crazy day... so, our daughter pulled out of a gas station going to work this morning and got t boned in her driver's door.

She's suffering a broken collar bone, sprained ribs and a broken ankle, not to mention a black eye and all the other bruises.

She is doing well, considering her pain meds but I'm sure the fyntenal will be wearing off and whatever they gave her will have to do. She will probably have to have shoulder surgery and ankle surgery, and of course I already know she is not going to want to drive again, so she is going to have to deal with that fear and anxiety.

mercy not a way to start a day she will be in much pain for a while . she can,t let this stop her 4-16-80 i took my dad pickup truck for a drive no drivers license s.r in high school .took it a curve and gassed it to the floor.. young dumb i know what happened now . front end went off the road i jerked it.. i rolled the the truck it threw me out on my back..bad cash road rash on y back rolled twice one side back up rolled again . your daughter will drive again in due time

Wow! God was sure watching over you!
I think your a bit smarter than my brother. Hes rolled 3 pick ups. 2 were my Dads, and the third was my Dads company truck. All three times it was due to doing donuts...

Yeah...
Young drivers are super expensive to insure in automobiles for a reason.
Your daughter is prime example.

What I'm most glad about is that she is going to survive this. Yes banged and bruised up and possibly some surgeries to keep her mobility in the future...but she has survived. Many don't. Look at statistics for young drivers and those who are killed each year in your state...

The Lord was watching out for her. FOR SURE.

I like hearing your stories! But yes, she knows the Lord and is coming into the age where her thinking is starting to mature.

When she was a teen, she barely bumped a deer, didnt even leave a dent and we got her frantic, out of her mind babbling call... she wasnt right for some time after that lol! Then a few years ago she rear ended a gal... now this.

She isnt dead, and I can honestly tell you that after burying 2 of our kids, we are thankful and although this is tragic, it's in its proper perspective. We serve a great God, and I give Him thanks.

Funny thing is this, we put our 32 year old son on our insurance 8 months ago and a month after, he totaled his car. Last month our 2018 Silverado went in the ditch and we get it out of the shop tomorrow. I dropped our son off the insurance last month and our daughter has been calling insurance companies to get her own by this Friday so I could take her off ours...

In summary, 2 cars totalled and another with 5,000 worth of damage within the past 8 months... I'm gonna need some sidework cause I dont even wanna know what this is going to do to our rates...

Ohh, I know we are blessed! She's 27... I dont like the thoughts of losing another child. It's like lightning. The odds are in your favor, but once you've been hit, your odds increase. I didnt like the mini panic attack today, but either way, God is still good.

Our youngest is 19 and is not on our insurance. He rear ended a car a few weeks ago but nothing came of it thankfully. He doesnt have insurance we found out. I told him today he better get some and this was a reminder of why. Btw, hes roofing and getting paid prevailing wage, which is 39 an hour, and hes been on that job 3 weeks now. He has no excuse not to have insurance. He agreed, and will get some tomorrow.

All things work to those who love God. This is working to our good, cause we serve a good God.

Although no parent should ever have to bury a child, please know this isn't goodbye, it's only until you meet again. :)

WOW! Praying for you, your daughter and the rest of your family. What a relief to know she'll get through this!
You mentioned losing a daughter the other day, I didn't know you've lost two children. I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine.

Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Hugs all around!

Ha, I think growing up just kinda happens for most folk! Back when, you didnt have to have insurance unless you had a previous accident.
You have to be careful with the rental insurance. We had the premium package and were allowed $100 a day. When our oldest totalled his, he was driving the Caddilacs and an Audi, even had an Escalade. This went on for almost a month. What they dont tell you is your responsible for the taxes. He got slammed pretty hard on that one. Serves his greedy self right though lol!

Weights can be scarey! I got trapped under the bench press when I was a teen with nobody around. Pretty scarey stuff! I'm glad you were around to help that other kid out!
