Death

Here's something to ponder.

What if the bodies are left behind? What if it's only the soul or spirit that's taken? The bible states that as we have borne the image of the man of dust (Adam) we shall also bear the image of the Heavenly Man. (Christ) What if in that twinkling of an eye.....

1 Corinthians 15
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

1 John 3
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

Something to think about.

.

I think when we are raised we will be like Jesus was when He was when transfigured maybe. They saw Him go up into the clouds.
I do believe in a bodily resurrection. Caught up with Him in the air.

There's nothing in the bible to support that. Even John states that what form we will have has not been revealed. Even if it is a bodily resurrection, there's nothing that points to that body being the one we have now.

It's just something to think about.

Well, I probably would if I really cared about that, I don't though. Whatever the Lord has come up with will be great. :yes

Some insurance agent would consider that the weirdest call they have even gotten :)

Well, I once met a guy who said later his wife disappeared; and eventually he had her declared dead; and he remarried; and then there were reports of his original wife surfacing after years had gone by...

I guess this would put the insurance brokers into a twist...

(And the lawyers....)

(And preachers.....)

They did not find here buried under the house did they?

how about this Gary here's an example from..

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

I know many people who have a fear of death. It can come in many forms...hypocondria,feeling of dread, fear of dying people.Maybe some Christians have that fear by just having a fear of the unknown in general. It is usually the unbelievers.Do they have a feeling deep inside them that their in something horrible to come?

Interestingly, the baptisation itself is a form of a death, that people want to take wilingfuly, to cure themselves from themselves, or from the part of themselves that they do not like, as I think.

Glory to God, because that Jesus has already tasted death for us who believe. That means we'll never even know it when we cross over to Heaven. We'll be here one moment and there the next. Death's sting is gone. Jesus has tasted it for us, GLORY TO GOD! Hallelujah, how exciting is that?

But the Holy Bible says that Jesus was sown as a seed, to bring many sons unto glory. Since He is gone unto glory, so will we. You will receive a body that is exactly the same as the one He has. Jesus has a physical body, being a man still, a righteous man, and still the Son of God (in a man's resurrected, glorified body). We too shall have this same body.

As well, we are each a tripartite being, just as God: a spirit (the hidden inner man of the heart as the Hebrew says) with a soul (mind, will and emotions) that lives in a body. When you leave your body you lose neither your spirit nor your soul. So WHAT is being resurrected? For in 1 Cor 15, God says we shall be resurrected. But every man in his order, 1st Jesus (being the firstfruits) and then the rest of those who believe.

When Jesus resurrected, what was He given? What made Him BE qualified to be called, "resurrected"? Because He did not lose His Spirit or His soul, but only His body had been lost. So Jesus received a NEW GLORIFIED BODY. So God calls being resurrected receiving a new body. You WILL receive the same body Jesus has, don't be fooled otherwise. It's right there in the Scriptures. 100% guarantee.

Yes it is right there in the scriptures.
