Bible Study Define 'Sabbath'

Define "Sabbath"
"If because of the sabbath, you turn your foot from doing your own pleasure
on My holy day, and call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable,
and honor it, desisting from your own ways,
from seeking your own pleasure and speaking your own word,
"Then you will take delight in the Lord,...... Isaiah 58:13,14

How did Jesus keep the Sabbath?
John 12:49 "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent
Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak."
50 "I know that His commandment is eternal life;
therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."
8:29 In Jesus words "And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone,
for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him."

How should we treat 'Sabbath'?
2 Corinthians 10:3 "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh,"
5 "We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the
knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ."

Jesus did the 'will of the Father' -- 'always' John 8:29
Not just one day (24hr period) but twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week -- 24/7.
In this Jesus is our example -- 'taking every thought captive' --'always'!

The Sabbath is the sign or mark of the LORD (Exodus 31:13).

The Beast has his mark or sign also -- Sunday.

If you have the mark of the Beast, you will suffer at God's hands.

If you have God's mark, you will suffer and be killed by the Beast.

You will have to choose who you will honor in your suffering and death.

bob

The Beast has his mark or sign also -- Sunday.

this is a false teaching by the SDA

I am going to hell becouse i worship Jesus ever day including on a sunday.

Bob you condem me to hell, this is a very serous acusation to any one who keeps sabath on a sunday.

More then one sabbath day

Mat 12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

you do the oppsite to this scripte

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]:

You see its funny how you condem me to hell yet you cannot keep all 113 laws this is hypocritical you brake one law you brake them all have you keept your first love.

"Here we find the mark of the beast. The very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, on the part of the Catholic church, without any authority from the Bible." (Ellen G. White, The Mark of the Beast, page 23)

"The Sunday Sabbath is purely a child of the Papacy. It is the mark of the beast." (Advent Review, Vol. I, No. 2, August, 1850.)

"The change of the Sabbath is the sign or mark of the authority of the Romish church." ... "The keeping of the counterfeit Sabbath is the reception of the mark." (Ellen G. White, Great Controversy, Vol. 4, page 281.

"The mark of the beast is Sunday-keeping. A law will enforce this upon Seventh-day Adventists. They won't obey. Then they will be outlawed, persecuted, and condemned to death! "Sunday-keeping is an institution of the first beast, and ALL who submit to obey this institution emphatically worship the first beast and receive his mark, 'the mark of the beast.' .... "the Seventh day, Saturday, must be kept; that keeping Sunday is the mark of the beast; that all should pay tithes; that Mrs. White is inspired as were the writers of the Bible; that the Bible must be interpreted to harmonize with her writings" (Seventh-day Adventism Renounced" by D.M. Canright, 1914)

The Mark Of The Beast And The Seal Of God
PROPHECY SEMINARS: LESSON 18

... "Now, what is the Mark of the beast? It's a simple step by step counterfeit of receiving the Seal of God. Let's turn back to the prophecy in Daniel 7:25, "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time." He would change times and laws. The first step the Beast must counterfeit is God's law. Why? Because the "law" is sealed in the saints who follow God. Notice though it also changes "times." Only the fourth commandment deals with times."

The second step to counterfeit the seal is Daniel 8:12, "And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it CAST DOWN THE TRUTH TO THE GROUND; and it practiced, and prospered." He would "cast down the truth." Why? Because it's again the truth that is sealed in the saints forehead. And so we see a perfect fulfillment. We have seen the Papal Roman power change the law, both the second, tenth and the fourth commandment dealing with times, and counterfeiting many of God's truths.

... "The true God was worshiped on Saturday, the seventh day. So Papal Rome had to change the law, and the day of worship to Sunday, so they could be worshipped."

... "Faith of Our Fathers, p. 14, C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons: "Of course the Catholic church claims that the change was her act. And the act is the MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters."

"Thus the way was opened to lead people to worship the Beast, and receive his mark. Also the way was opened to "worship the image of the beast." An image is a replica of an original. There are millions of people who are not "worshiping the beast," but they do worship its image. Many churches today are nothing more than an image of the Papal Church. They may have a different name, but they are following the same false teachings, traditions, and commandments of men. False teachings like baptism by sprinkling, the immortal soul, Sunday worship, eternal hell-fire, et cetera, are all from the Beast. If we choose to worship in a church that follows these teachings, we are simply following an image of the Beast. That's why God's call is to come out of Babylon to follow Jesus and truth."

"Let's see step by step how a person receives the Mark of the beast in their forehead. As we continue on in 2 Thessalonians 2, we come to verse 10. "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

"Here is the first step to receiving the Mark of the beast: Refusing to love the "truth" (the truth is what is sealed in the saints). So the first step is simple, you don't have to do anything wrong, you just refuse to do what's right."

"The second step in receiving the Mark of the beast is in verse 11, "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." What is that lie? First John 2:3-4, "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." Believe the lie that you can still go to heaven while breaking the law. Rather than loving Jesus and keeping His commandments, people choose to follow the Beast's lie."

"The third step is found in verse 12, "That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." They are damned for not believing the truth. Rather than being comforted by the Spirit who leads to Jesus Christ, they stand condemned for following the Antichrist. Because of their willful decision to follow the Beast, its false teachings and practices, the Beast's name is in their forehead and they are lost having received the Mark of the beast. The process is a step by step counterfeit of the Holy Spirit's work to give us the Seal of God."

The Sabbath was set as a day off work, a day for rest. It was given for men, not for God.

Mr 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

"Truly My Sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign between ME and you....that you may know that I am the Lord that sanctifies you" (Exodus 31:13).

"Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father..." (Jude 1).

"...but you are washed, but you are sanctified....in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God" (1Cor. 6:11).

The Sabbath is one day off to rest and honor the lord every seventh day.

WHich day of the week you choose to rest and honor is irrelevant.

Sabbath 'sign', 'mark'

Sabbath 'sign'
Ex 31:13 "a sign between Me and you throughout your generations,..."
The 'sign' of Ex 31:13 -- was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator;
"until the seed would come" -- Jesus Christ Gal 3:19

Bob10 The Sabbath is the sign or mark of the LORD (Exodus 31:13).
-- Note "your generations" in Ex 31:13
2:Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature;
the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
Galatians 6:15 "For neither is circumcision anything nor uncircumcision, but a new creation."
1 Peter1:3 We are "born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

IN Christ, we are a 'born again', a 'new' creation, a 'new' generation, the 'old' has passed away.

Bob10 The Beast has his mark or sign also -- Sunday.
The 'mark' of the beast is manifest by;
-- seeking one's own pleasure, speaking one's own words Isa 58:13,14
-- those who are 'wise in their own eyes' Isa 5:21
-- those who seek to be justified by law -- 'fallen from grace' Gal 5:4
-- have the 'spirit of the antichrist' 1 John 4:3

The 'mark' of God is;
Upon those who 'sigh and cry over the abominations' done in Jerusalem. Ezekiel 9:4-6
Seen in Zechariah 12:10 "they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn."
1 John 4:2 "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God;..."

John 9:4 Jesus said "We must do the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day..." As this is paramont in our life on a daily basis -- 24/7 -- we will recognize the difference between the 'mark' of the Beast and the 'mark' of God.

Bob --- this is much more than "Sunday" being a sign, a mark or even a test! We are looking at the difference between -- The 'spirit of God' or the 'spirit of the antichrist'.

Sabbath 'DAY'

Sabbath 'Day'
Romans 14:5 "One person regards one day above another, another regards
every day alike
. Each person must be fully convnced in his own mind.
6 "He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, ...'

Colossians 2:16 "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink
or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day --- 17 things which are
a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ."

The 'Sabbath' given to Moses in Exodus 20:8-11 was a shadow
-- as was the temple services -- given to Moses a shadow (copy/pattern)
of "heavenly things". Hebrews 8:5

In Genesis 2:2,3...... "the seventh day".
In the KJV, the NIV and the NASU versions of the Bible, the six days describe
Gods work of creating as having "morning and evening".
--- the seventh day is not described with 'morning and evening', it has no ending.
Sabbath in the form of a 'day' was given to Moses, and is thereby a 'shadow'.

Heb 6:20 "Jesus has entered as a forefunner for us, having become a high priest forever
according to the order of Melchizedek."
Heb 7:3 --having no beginning of days or end of life

Jeus is the 'Sabbath' DAY without beginning, without end!
In human terms we cannot comprehend what it means to be without beginning, without end.
The substance (reality) "belongs to Christ" Col 2:17.

In Christ, Sabbath DAY is a reality, not of a 24hour time-period,
but of Spirit and Life without beginning, without ending.

Colossians 2:16 ............

Paul is telling these Christians not to accept criticism for keeping the holydays, new moons and sabbath days for they are a shadow of things to come; but the reality of all this is Christ.

If the holydays of the Bible are done away with, so is eating and drinking, for they are listed there, too.

Where is the statement that says we should not keep these days?

Colossians 2:16 assumes they are keeping the holydays, etc., and says don't let anyone judge you for it. This is 'rock solid' proof that the mostly gentile Colossian church was keeping these days.

Here is my question? What is there about being 'a shadow' that means you don't do it? And if it is a shadow of things to come, then it hasn't been fulfilled yet --- and if it hasn't been fulfilled yet, why would anyone assume it's been done away with?

(read this verse in The Living Bible Paraphrased, and take out the word "not", which doesn't belong there any ways -- to get the true meaning of Col. 2:16)

Purpose

Bob If the holydays of the Bible are done away with, so is eating and drinking, for they are listed there, too.
Keeping a day, what you eat, what you drink -- none of it has any merit toward salvation, and in this sense is 'done away.'
Bob Where is the statement that says we should not keep these days?
IN Christ, the 'old' is born again, a new creation, the 'old' has passed away. Gal 6:15 /2 Cor / 5:17, & 1 Peter 1:3. Romans 2:29 "...circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter;.."
Bob Colossians 2:16 assumes they are keeping the holydays, etc., and says don't let anyone judge you for it. This is 'rock solid' proof that the mostly gentile Colossian church was keeping these days
.
Scripture is written by inspiration 2Tim 3:16. Man's interpertation of today "assumes" this is talking about holydays and not to the Mosaic law. Other scriptures -- The 'letter' of the Law given to Moses on "stones" are replaced "by the Spirit of the Living God"on tablets of human hearts." 2 Cor 3:3,7
Bob Here is my question? What is there about being 'a shadow' that means you don't do it? And if it is a shadow of things to come, then it hasn't been fulfilled yet --- and if it hasn't been fulfilled yet, why would anyone assume it's been done away with?
For a simple illustration from 1 Corinthians 13:9-13 'a shadow' is similar to the 'child' (the law). When the 'child' grows to maturity, he understands the purpose of the law and the fruit of faith, hope, and love spring forth. This does not 'do away' with the law, rather fulfills the 'righteousness' of the law in us. When I become mature, I put away childish things. This means that the purpose of the law supercedes 'the letter of the law'.

Galatians 3:23,24 "But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith."

Galatians 5:22,23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,... 23 against such things there is no law."

If a person says the law is "done away with", yet lacks the "fruits of the spirit", --- the law did not lead him to Christ, to repentance, faith and hope and therefore he is not IN CHRIST. A mental assent is not enough.

Romans 14:5 ---------

Paul was writing to a mixed church of Jewish and gentile believers in Rome. In verses 2 and 3 Paul discussed vegetarianism ("he who is weak eats only vegetables") and continued this theme in verse 6 ("he who eats...and he who does not eat").

The passage in question about days is in verses 5 and 6, immediately between references to eating meat and vegetarianism in verses 2, 3 and 6. There is no biblical connection between Sabbath observance and vegetarianism, so these verses have to be taken out of context to assume that Paul was referring to the Sabbath.

"The close contextual association with eating suggests that Paul has in mind a special day set apart for observance as a time for feasting or as a time for fasting" (Everett F. Harrison, The Expositor's Bible Commentary, Vol. 10, p. 146). It is apparent that Paul was discussing Roman or other special days during which feasting, fasting or abstaining from certain foods was practiced.

The context shows us that some members of the congregation there were eating meat, and others were abstaining from eating meat. The vegetarians were likely members who "feared lest they should (without knowing it) eat meat which had been offered to idols or was otherwise ceremonially unclean (which might easily happen in such a place as Rome), that they abstained from meat altogether" (W.J. Conybeare and J.S. Howson, The Life and Epistles of St. Paul, p. 530).

In 1 Corinthians 8, Paul addressed the issue of eating meat that may have been sacrificed to idols and consequently could have been viewed by some members as unfit to eat. Paul's point in that chapter was that any association of food with idolatrous activity had no bearing on whether that food was otherwise suitable for eating.

It appears likely that Paul was addressing the same issue in both groups, namely whether members should avoid meats that may have been associated with idolatrous worship. This may be indicated by Paul's reference to "unclean" meat in Romans 14:14. Rather than using the Greek word used to describe unclean, or prohibited, foods listed in the Old Testament, he used a word meaning common or defiled, which would be appropriate in describing meat that had been sacrificed to idols. Paul's advice in 1 Corinthians 8 was the same as his conclusion in Romans 14:15: Be especially careful not to offend a fellow member, causing him to stumble or lose faith over the issue of meats. What is clear is that the Roman members' reason for avoiding meat was directly related to the days they were observing.

In no way was this related to Sabbath observance because God's Sabbath is a "feast" day (Leviticus 23:1-3), not a day when one must abstain from eating meat. The Sabbath is nowhere mentioned in Paul's letter to the Romans; it simply wasn't the issue. The days mentioned here are obviously connected with avoidance of meat, indicating that they are Roman or other observances and not any days of worship commanded by God.

So we now understand that Romans 14 in no way is speaking of the Sabbath much less doing away with it.

these are only individual opinions -------- chill out ------go to the beach; have a beer.............bikinis...................

i will not do that also

you choise to obey the law of the sabath thats your baggage dont say that we should follow your understanding of the sabbath, Jesus is my rest and my sabbath not a richulised version alot teach.

You can keep your religion.

I will not choise to listen to the talmud version of what the sabbath keepers say.

You should study the roots of the sabbath keepers in the talmud.

http://www.bible.ca/7-sabbath.htm

Sabbatarians falsely say: "Adam, Noah and Abraham kept the Sabbath." Yet the Sabbath did not exist until Moses. Sabbatarians haven't comprehended the fact that the word "Sabbath" is never found in the book of Genesis. The first case of Sabbath keeping was in Exodus 16 at Mt. Sinai.

Sabbath keepers use the false argument that since the Sabbath day is mentioned in Isa 66:23, that the Sabbath will be in heaven! If Isa 66:23 teaches that we will keep the Jewish Sabbath in heaven, then it also teaches we will keep the Jewish New Moon festival in heaven! Both were nailed to the cross: Col 2:14-16.

The Sabbath is an Old Testament shadow or anti-type of heaven and was never intended endure past the cross. God gave the Jews many physical anti-types that were replaced with new meaning in the New Testament. Incense, priestly garments and the Sabbath, for example were abolished and replaced with prayer, (Rev 5:8) good deeds (Rev 19:8) and heaven (Hebrews 4:4-11).

Sabbatarians almost always misquote Hebrews 4 as a text that commands us to keep the weekly Sabbath. But the Hebrews 4:4-11 actually speaks about 3 different kinds of Sabbaths, and the one for Christians, is not the weekly Jewish Sabbath, but the eternal Sabbath rest of HEAVEN!

Jesus said in Mark 2:27 "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath". Jesus taught that the Sabbath should be broken, if it conflicted with a higher law of God like human compassion! At times, Jesus broke the Sabbath without sin. That is because according to Mk 2:27, the Sabbath was made to serve man, not man to serve the Sabbath. Adventists are oblivious to the true meaning of this verse and ascribe the exact opposite meaning to what Jesus intended.

The first time any Jewish holy day is mentioned in scripture, it always lacks the definite article (a Sabbath). This powerful argument proves that the weekly Sabbath did not exist before Ex 16:23. What makes it irrefutable, is the fact that every Jewish Holy Day follows this same pattern!

Adventist's use this false 3 part argument to prove the Adam kept the Sabbath: 1. In the beginning God made "all things" Jn 1:1-3; Col 1:16. 2. The Sabbath day was MADE: Mk 2:27-28. 3. Therefore the Sabbath day was created or made in the beginning and therefore Adam had to keep it! Of course it is completely invalid!

The "Sabbath is" Series!

Here are a series of true attributes ascribed to the Sabbath in an attempt to falsely prove the Sabbath is for today.

1. Sabbath is a "moral law".
2. Sabbath is called "eternal".
3. Sabbath is "hallowed".
4. Sabbath is "holy".
5. Sabbath is "eternal sign".

Sabbatarians falsely state that the Sabbath was a moral law and not a ceremonial law. They say, "All other special Jewish days, seasons and yearly festivals are ceremonial, but not the weekly Sabbath!" Yet Sabbath keeping" is by definition a ceremonial law. Only Sabbath keepers are too bind to see it!

Sabbath keepers use the false argument that since the Sabbath day is called an "eternal" and "perpetual" law, that it will always be practiced! Yet these and many more are called "eternal" and "Perpetual" in the Bible yet they are abolished: Feast of Unleavened Bread: Ex 12:17; Burnt offering: Ex 29:39-42; Day of Atonement: Lev 23:28-31. According to Sabbatarian logic, we should still have animal sacrifices! But a simple review of the Sabbath passages proves that the Sabbath was to kept by Jews only THROUGHOUT their generations!

Sabbatarians falsely teach that the Sabbath must be kept because God "blessed" or "hallowed" it. Adventists actually say, "Once God blesses something, it is blessed forever! But the Levitical priesthood: 2 Chron 35:3; Tabernacle: Ex 29:30-31; Ark of Covenant: 2 Chro 35:3; Passover: Ex 12:14-17; Day of atonement: Lev 23:27-32 were also "hallowed", yet Adventists agree they are abolished.

Seventh-day Adventists falsely argue that since the Sabbath day is called "Holy" therefore Christians must keep it. Yet all of the Jewish Holy Days like Passover: Ex 12:14-17 were called "holy". According to Adventist logic, they should be practicing all the Jewish holy days. (Gal 4:10 condemns the keeping of Jewish holy days!)

Sabbatarians falsely argue that the Sabbath is an eternal sign between God and his people and therefore we must keep the Sabbath today! The problem is that animal blood and circumcision are also spoken of as "eternal signs" between God and his People too! According to Adventist logic, circumcision and animal sacrifices should be practices along with the Sabbath.

Sabbath 'Work'

Sabbath 'WORK'
-- Jesus said
"My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work. John 4:34
"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." John 6:29

Hebrews 3:19 Those in Israel of old, had the good news preached to them failed to enter
the Sabbath rest, because of 'unbelief'. (see also Heb 4:6)

Unbelief is connected with 'repentance'. After Jesus did many miracles in the cities where
He had been , "Then He began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles were done,
because they did not repent." Matthew 11:20

Jesus told a man with a son who was 'possed with a spirit' "
All things are possible to him who believes. Immediately the boy's father
cried out and said, 'I do believe; help my unbelief." Mark 9:23,24
Scripture quotes above -- NASU, emphasis supplied

  • The 'Work of Believing'
Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord'
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
13 "For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
14 "How then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
15 And how can they preach unless they are sent?....." NIV
John 1:12 "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name,
he gave the right to become children of God
  • John 1:13 children born
    not of natural descent,
    nor of human decision,
    or a husband's will,
    but born of God." NIV
I grew up thinking 'blieveing in Jesus' meant be a good moralist, go to church, etc!
Now, years of experience later, God has opened my eyes to see my own unbelief
Anger, Fear, Anxiety, Arrogance, Judgmental, Moody, Impatient, etc...
...........All evidence of unbelief toward God -------- lots to repent for!

Romans 8:24 O wretched man that I am! "Who will set me free from the body of this death?" All this unbelief is making my life miserable. verse 25 "Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So, then, on the one hand I myself am serving the law of God, but on the other (hand), with my flesh the law of sin." NASU, emphasis supplied

WAS GOD'S LAW IN FORCE BEFORE SINAI?
http://www.garnertedarmstrong.ws/pubs/lawsinai.htm

Adam and Eve saw their firstborn commit the first murder  brutally rising up and killing his own younger brother out of jealousy.

Who was in charge, here? Were there any laws? Any commandments to be kept?

Of course there were! The whole point of the story is to reveal the origin of SIN; to catalogue the FIRST SIN of the first man and woman!

Notice what God said of the sodomites in Sodom and Gomorrah: "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly" (Genesis 13:13). And what IS sin? The SAME Divine Person of the Godhead who inspired Genesis 13:13 also inspired John to write, "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law" (I John 3:4).

Paul wrote, "Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression" (Romans 4:15). In order for the Sodomites to be sinners there had to be a LAW in force! So says our Bible.

i dont need to re-inact sabbath, Jesus Christ is my sabbath, it is living in us who believe in Jesus.

Your baggage not myne mate.

Unbelief -- transgression of what law?

The 'Work of Believing' -- Believing what Law?
John 16:9 God is sending the holy spirit to convict the world of sin
"because they do not believe in Me."

Is unbelief "transgression of the law"? What law?

Quote Bob Notice what God said of the sodomites in Sodom and Gomorrah: "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly" (Genesis 13:13). And what IS sin? The SAME Divine Person of the Godhead who inspired Genesis 13:13 also inspired John to write, "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law" (I John 3:4).

Romans 3:21 "But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been
manifest, being witnessed by the Law and the prophets.

Romans 5:14 "Death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had
not sinned in the likenss of the offense of Adam, ...."

Bob ........"transgression of the law" is sin and that is correct, but that is not a complete
definition. Unbelief is sin against the righteousness of God, a righteousness apart from Law as
written and gvien to Moses, or Adam. This sin apart from Law includes the sin of
those 'from Adam until Moses'.

Will Jesus Christ is my sabbath, it is living in us who believe in Jesus.

In principal and as a living reality, I have to agree.
The never ending study what it means to believe!

willow the wip,

1) are you talking about the 7th day Sabbath or sunday ?
