Definition of Sin

Wow... we have (for the first time in like six topics) come to an agreement. :thumb
That is good. I have a cold and am rather tired.

Gal 3:22
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
(KJV)

I know there's some Churches out there that teach when we believe on Christ and are baptized in His name, that we can no longer sin. Some things written in 1 John gives that kind of idea, but Apostle John also covered our need to repent of our sins, and he was speaking that to believers.

The Galatians 3:22 verse reveals that it is impossible for us to not be under sin in this life, simply because that's the hingepoint The LORD made with offering His Son upon the cross for us. We are counted 'perfect' through Christ's Blood as we repent of our sins. Our baptism was for the remission of sins that are past (Rom.3:25). Our LORD well knows we ALL struggle with sin in this life. Yet we still are to strive against committing sin.

I'm not Jewish, but understanding God's laws is important to show us what Christ approves of, and what He doesn't. When Apostle Paul gave lists of sins no Christian should have, he was pulling directly from God's laws. Our Lord Jesus did that also in the Gospel Books. Don't misunderstand me, for I'm not preaching Salvation by the law. If we listen to The Holy Spirit, He will give us direction that will align with God's laws. That's one of the operations that's supposed to happen with baptism of The Holy Spirit.
