Detroit Lions are on the Threshold

And sticking to topic, I hope the Detroit Broncos beat the Detroit Patriots this evening.

Mike, I don't know if it's a good idea to discuss the Detroit Lins for a while. But if you insist...

Q. What's the difference between the Detroit Lions &
the Taliban?
A. The Taliban have a running game

If the Niner's offense hadn't showed up at all, they wouldn't have deserved to go on. Their offense will give them underdog status no matter what.

Maybe after all these years, Alex Smith is showing why he was the first pick in 2005.

You bandwagon hopper! You were a Lions fan a few months ago! Now, you're a Taliban fan?

42-7 as I type this. Not gonna happen, and that's too bad.

Please, Elijah, a little respect. Those teams, or any other fraudulent AFC chump team, would last a week here in Detroit.

You could have gotten away with that in 1968, but in 1969 I saw Joe Namath lead the New York Jets (the AFL representative) over the Baltimore Colts (the NFL representative) in Super Bowl III.

First, my Phillies dominate baseball all year and then get eliminated in the first round of the play-offs.
Then Penn State gets hit with a scandal. Then, only one military football team gets a bowl game, and they lose. Then, my Eagles get eliminated.

So, I decide to root for some other teams, just for fun. The Lions get tamed. The Broncos get busted. And LSU loses the national championship 21-0.

I need prayer.

Vince, in this case you need the 9ers :toofunny

Don't do it, Vince!

Jim Harbaugh is right up there with Rex Ryan - two of the biggest jackwagon coaches in the NFL. Thanks to the Saints, we're forced to endure another week of Harbaugh thumping his "manly" chest like this is all about him. :grumpy

Well, I have to be impressed with the Patriots' offensive coordinator, who was in charge of the 45 in the 45-10 victory over the Broncos.

Say, isn't he the one that Penn State picked for their new head coach?

Pull for the 49ers.

With the Packers gone, I don't see anyone who can stand in the way of the 49ers going all the way.

I don't know, Elijah. Penn State is going up against Baltimore this Sunday, and the winner goes to the Super Bowl.

The only team I'm worried about is the Giants. If the 49ers can get by the Giants, the Super Bowl is theirs. Actually, I could wind up pulling for the Giants. Won't pull for New England or Baltimore.

I thought this thread was about the Lions? :lol

Next weekend is going to be interesting. I doubt the Ravens can get past New England.

I'm going with experience. The Giants have experience in this situation and have shown to be real road worriers. New England has much experience and they're playing at home.

My manager is from Boston and he's looking for a Super Bowl rematch. My adrenaline is still flowing from last night's Giants' win. I hope he gets his wish because the Giants will be ready for them.

As a 9-7 wildcard team, which is peaking at the right time (again), we've got nothing to lose. :D

Well then, you need to pull for Penn State. They're playing Baltimore this Sunday.

We aren't really off topic, considering the Lions won't be putting on their uniforms for a while.

You might have to explain this to me.

Penn State equals New England because New England is no good.

OR

Penn State equals New England because New England has some problems with integrity.

OR

Penn State equals New England because New England’s Rich Ohrnberger is a Penn State graduate.
