and your (y'alls, for us southerners) prayers have helped!

saw mama today. I have schizophrenia, right? right. so, long story...i have a much better (read: modest, but to me comfortable) lifestyle than many "mental patients" (hate the term, don't know what else to put there). and...

somehow, we got off onto the subject, and she told me that she and dad had to get a lawyer involved to make sure everything is on the up and up, sustainable long-term, etc., and the tax people want ever more $$$, too. -eek-

so...this is part of how I am developing more of an 'attitude of gratitude; ' relatively gentle 'reality checks,' here and there. oh, and a neighbor said 'good morning' to me, today, and...it was good. very good. another 'reality check...' be polite, be neighborly but not overly familiar...

life goes on. im grateful for that brief exchange, too.

oh, and im healthy, right? this, despite...my life, until recently (long story). volunteering a bit around people who haven't yet been pulled out of the miry clay has been...

eye-opening. again; 'reality checks' = more gratitude. :-)

so...thanks, y'all. :-)

I like that saying "little things mean a lot"
A smile, a cherry hello, they cost nothing and can make such a difference to someone's day.
