Did God create disease?

Did God create disease? If so, what was infectious bacteria doing in the garden of eden? If not, does this mean bacteria evolved?

God created all life including bacteria. Adam and Eve had immortality in the garden of Eden. Only when they sinned and lost access to the Tree of Life would they be subject to disease and death.

Evolution is not a biblical concept and there is a lot of evidence that supports creationism over Darwinian evolution.

So then you're saying that God created diseases?

As fallen humans, we are subject to death and disease. We put ourselves in that position when we rejected God in the Garden of Eden and everlasting life. It's was not God's original plan but He allows humans, as free moral agents, to accept Him or to reject Him. Adam and Eve choose to reject him and as their decedents we feel the ripple effects of their sin even today.

God cannot accept sin and a plan of redemption was needed to make us right in the eyes of God. That plan was fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

We do not know all the reasons why God allows suffering during our time here on earth. We do go through many trials and tribulations and it should be used as an opportunity to look to Him for our strength. We are promised, when we put our faith in Jesus Christ that we will have everlasting life in heaven and pain, sickness, and disease will be taken away.

Yes God created everything- even diseases. All of the curse(s) are clearly shown in scripture to be from God because of the sins of man. Paul shows us that GOD subjected all creation to vanity in hope of recieving to himself sons of God.
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope,
Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

In deut 28 we see a long list of curses that come on the disobedient and God includes in that list this:

Deu 28:61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which [is] not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

This whole thing IS Gods original plan.- When He created everything He created it good. BUT He also declared the end from the beginning.

Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else; [I am] God, and [there is] none like me,
Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times [the things] that are not [yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Jesus the lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. That means before men were formed and before sin happened, Jesus was already slain for us.

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

There is good bacteria and harmful. Nothing was harmful in the garden until sin came.
