Did our President "as lightning fall from heaven?"

whirlwind

Member
I received an e-mail about the following youtube video. It is VERY interesting. It concerns the verse.....

  • Luke 10:18 And He said unto them, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

It is translated into English from Greek but....as spoken by Jesus, it was in Aramaic, ancient Hebrew. Taking the words back to Hebrew we see "Lightning" and "Heaven," or as heaven is termed in Isaiah, "heights" with the following meanings.....

  • Heights (heavens) ~ #1116 bamah, (pronounced baw-maw); from an unused root (mean, to be high); an elevation; )- height, high place, wave. #1117; the same as 1116, see also 1120 - #1120 Bamowth, plural of 1116; heights or (fully). Bamoweth Ba'al, (baw-moth ' bah'-al) from the same and 1168; heights of Baal; Bamoth or Bamoth-Baal, a place e. of the Jordan - Bamoth, Bamoth-baal.

Lightning ~ #1299; baraq (pronounced Baw-rak) to lighten (lightning): - cast forth. #1300 (pronounced baw-rawk) from 1299 lightning; by anal, a gleam; concr. a flashing sword: - bright, glitter (-ing sword), lightning. #1302 Barqowc, (bar-kose) of uncert. der.; Barkos, one of the Nethimim. #1303 barqan, from 1300; a thorn (perh. as burning brightly); brier.

In addition to the Strong's words the youtube video discussed I added those you see above, which to me, are sister descriptions...all connected to the same base word. In "heaven or heights" we have the "heights of Baal " associated with where Satan falls from. And in "lightning" we see that he is "one of the Nethinim" and a "thorn or brier."

Satan is associated with thistles, thorns and briers in various verses. Nethinim are those that sort of infiltrated the Levitical priesthood when the house of Judah was taken captive. They were not of Levi and only those of Levi were to be priests.

In Hebrew, a wau or vau is transliterated as a U or O and is a conjunction to join concepts. So, in putting all of this together it would be in Hebrew, Baraq U or O Bamah :crazy :o

So, if the Luke verse was read in Aramaic, as spoken by Jesus in the poetic style of Isaiah, it would be....

  • I saw Satan as Baraq O Bamah.

Hmmmmm, interesting. I am very careful with things like this though. I remember a lot of people being called the "antichrist". I'm very interested to see what our eschtalogically minded friends have to say.

..The Antichrist is Satan?

And we already know it's Arnold Schwarzenegger not Obama. ..And somehow Marilyn Manson as well.

But seriously if you guys want to be taken seriously this behavior really should be discouraged.

Lighten up. As far as I'm concerned it's just a little fun.

No prob, Walter. :yes John gives us four indications of what an antichrist is and you can find them here:

1 John 2:18, 1 John 2:22, 1 John 4:3, 2 John 1:7.

From there, you can decide. :lol

Unfortunately many people take this nonsense very seriously and even make life decision based on crap like this.

I wouldn't worry about him being lightning falling from heaven. I would worry more about the fact that he seems more of a universalist. He also is backed by the wall street financiers...and no doubt the Bilderburger group. It seems it's really the banking groups that run the countries. Political leaders around the world are more puppets for their whims.
Even if a leader of integrity is found. They are still subject to these people. Your savings and loans was raided by this group of people. Unfortunately, the world is not what it seems.
There are leaders that can move people to tears. That doesn't mean they have the power to implement their promises. They are really controlled by the hidden power mongers.
After having stated that. I don't go looking for every negative thing in politics, but it is a fact.
The New York stock exchange opened in the late 1800's and these insiders would get in, and get out on a schedule of predetermined prices. That's how rigged things are in the financial world. The very specialists that set the prices for stocks...are allowed to trade in their own accounts on the stocks they set the prices on.
Corruption to the core.
Good thing there is an honest judge in heaven that you can seriously trust.

Here is some food for thought:

Rom 10:9 - for, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

1 Cor 12:3 - Therefore, I tell you that nobody speaking by the spirit of God says, "Jesus be accursed." And no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the holy Spirit.

"I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ."
Interview by Sarah Pulliam and Ted Olsen | posted 1/23/2008 02:18PM

You've talked about your experience walking down the aisle at Trinity United Church of Christ, and kneeling beneath the cross, having your sins redeemed, and submitting to God's will. Would you describe that as a conversion? Do you consider yourself born again?

I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life. But most importantly, I believe in the example that Jesus set by feeding the hungry and healing the sick and always prioritizing the least of these over the powerful. I didn't 'fall out in church' as they say, but there was a very strong awakening in me of the importance of these issues in my life. I didn't want to walk alone on this journey. Accepting Jesus Christ in my life has been a powerful guide for my conduct and my values and my ideals.

:biglol Good one Brian.

Three points:

Aramaic isn't ancient Hebrew; it is a Semitic language all it's own. Hebrew actually borrows from Aramaic.

Dora indeed had made a point of her own. (as did John in the four verses I quoted earlier)

This entire issue can be summed up by the last sentence in the post of JV:

Good thing there is an honest judge in heaven that you can seriously trust.

:amen !

Dora, thank you so much for finding this and posting it and the above verses. My heart is touched.

I hope for the sake of your wishful thinking, that you are even half correct, about the integrity of Obama. Here is the supposed church he goes to or used to go to.

Now there may be a slant to that article. I am not an Obama hater. I just think citizens of countries around the world should wake up to the fact, that wonderful speeches do not make...promises kept.

I think practically every President from the beginning claimed to be Christian...not sure on that one.
George Bush did. Look at what his policies did. You're a few more trillion in the hole.
Like I stated earlier... I personally think they are just representatives or image men for an underlying group of powerful lobbiests and banking groups and those that really control the countries. I also think republicans and democrats in their private quarters sit and laugh and smoke their cigars together, knowing their is a big image thing going on.
Ever seen the movie "wag the dog"
Don't want you to think I am over cynical. I just live life normal. Most of our grievances in politics can't much be changed anyway...so I just go with the flow...and try to focus more on the positive.

I will admit...I am not too fond of Obama...but I am not so sure we can go labeling him as the Anti-Christ. Careful investigation of scripture as well as prayer would be needed before any such assumption could be made. For God will be one to reveal the enemy when it is time.

Because it touched my heart that Obama might actually be a saved Christian? If he is, then even the angels rejoice.

i hope he is, but i remain very doubtful, some have said the right things and have never produced fruit and truly only the Lord knows.
