Did the Gentiles have free will?

Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

How is this possible?

Actually you have to go back and read Acts 13:13-52 in order to understand that God provoked the Jews to jealousy as they rejected and crucified the very Messiah that was sent to them for then salvation also came to the Gentiles.

Rom 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Everyone has a free will to chose to accept or reject the word of God as many have heard the preaching of the Gospel, but yet choose to reject it.

The verse I posted does not teach free will, it teaches election. That is the point.
