A new “dinosaur,” Ubirajara jubatus, is described as having “a long mane of fur down its back and stiff rod-like structures projecting from its shoulders.”

presupposition rather than science is the only way to "confirm" evolution -

"A lot has been said about dinosaurs, birds, and feathered dinosaurs, but there are a lot of assumptions and interpretations involved in all of that. It is important to understand the way that evolutionist researchers name and group animals today. Two of the assumptions involved in that process are that all the organisms are connected somehow and that they have also evolved."

As many creationists now admit, the fossil record is "very good evidence for macroevolutionary theory." Long before feathered bird-like dinosaurs were known, they were predicted by Darwin's associate, Thomas Huxley. And now, we have many examples, verifying Huxley's prediction, based on anatomical evidence.

Two of the assumptions involved in that process are that all the organisms are connected somehow and that they have also evolved."

Those two predictions were also made on the basis of existing evidence long before we found that they were connected by biochemical relationships, and of course, we now directly observed evolution happening. Creationists are now only able to maintain their new doctrine by assuming that there has to be some undiscovered limit to evolution, but they have been unable to find that assumed limit.

This new dinosaur is not very birdlike, having dinosaur shoulders, forelimbs, and ribs. Other than primitive feathers, there really aren't any birdlike apomorphic characters. From the limited skeleton recovered so far, it appears to be compognathic dinosaur.
