When someone doesn’t entirely agree with your theology, what should you do?

Have them removed from your midst?
Ignore them for the rest of your life?
Hold your breath until you turn blue?
Become a hermit?
Make up stories about them?
Try to turn everybody against them?
Accept the fact that nobody, including ourselves, is perfect and move on?

Set forth the truth plainly as you have opportunity, maintaining composure, and have the patience to let God's Word do it's work in season.

What we do wrong is spread the seeds of the Word and then stand angrily over the ground demanding a harvest. I've learned a lot from the way Jesus just put the truth out there and moved on, perhaps knowing there were 2000 years of harvest that would indeed come from what he was saying in that very moment. What patience! What self-control! What hope! What faith! I want to be like him.

Iron sharpens iron! We will all shift our understanding in regards to details surrounding the nature of the walk in Christ. But as we work out our own salvation with one another...as we walk down the narrow path together we find we come to a perfect unity.

So the disagreements are based on an immaturity among the true brethren. Of course there are the imposters that will disagree with anything spiritual.

Hi elijah23,

I think we should be able to tell each other we are wrong. It shouldn't be said in anger, and clearly stated without ambiguity. We should be willing to ask, 'Am I wrong?' If we disagree on theology with no resolution, yes, move on and pray for one another. We should pay attention to how we react to disagreements because it says more about ourselves than the one we disagree with.

Since this setting is a debate forum ,considering the source carries a lot of weight.

Love your neighbor. Resist the tempter in them.

It is good in a debating forum when someone is free to testify to what they believe is the truth.

In other words, one should be free to say what they believe.

Certainly forums exist that operate with out constraints. Most forums though will have some presuppositional rules freely agreed to upon registration, and some sort of moderation for enforcement.

This isn't "most forums."

so we should allow the athiests and pagans and non-christians to bash our lord? to attack members for no reason?

i hope you realise that the polite athiests that still post dont really speak their minds as they see it.

thats fine, they came here and agreed to do that. respect our beliefs. that isnt too hard to ask. i have went to an agnostic forum briefly and obligded when i posted questions on science in their astromony and biology section.

its not too hard to ask, and i didnt hide what i was. just didnt debate their position. i asked what i wanted to know and was answered politely.

Elijah, we've been down this road before. CFnet does not, and will not, allow members to promote the notion that the words Paul wrote are not Inspired or have no Authority. That's all that need to be said about this. If you continue down this road, you will not be able to say you weren't warned.

Hmmm the stark opposite to Mid-Acts DF. Is there a group or some 'teacher' spreading this rubbish? This is the first Ive ever heard of it.

I am not an athiest, pagan, or non-christians, but I am not allowed to share all of my beliefs.

If you are going to call this a Christian website, then I think all Christians should be allowed to speak freely, not just those who believe as you do.
