I'm just curious that's all since I know that the Lord can hear either. I personally do a little bit of both.

Me too, when I'm out walking by myself I like to talk to Him aloud and sometimes If I see something that may need His attention be it advice for me or a situation I might just think it or... "send it" if you will.

This topic made me think of this video that I showed you quite awhile ago. Remember Tessie? Lol! :lol

outloud. my mind wanders too much for me to do it silently. it helps that i often have the whole downstairs to myself and we have plenty of room between houses, so i can pray w/o problems.

I find the two have different advantages. God hears both, no difference there. satan's minions hear what we say aloud; April, you've clearly been under attack since being Baptized, so this applies to you!

Some things we might deliberately choose Satan (et al) not to know about. Those guys certainly aren't omnipresent like God is, but we can play it safe, especially under attack.

"Submit yourselves unto God, resist the devil, and he will flee." Don't forget that first part! Only then can we come out strong, wielding our sword; then praying out loud can be very effective.

I haven't been attacked as much lately, (if you mean emotionally and spiritual wise)but I'm not quite sure that I understand what you're trying to say.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what Ray meant, but I don't think that it matters all that much. Prayer can be effective both silently and aloud. The reason I know that is that they both have worked for me.

Actually...
The Lord's Prayer is the model of how we are supposed to do it.

Notice the first word of it..."Our"....as in speaking collectively for a group...as in not doing it alone all the time.

Well I didn't mean praying alone all the time. We're supposed to pray together too. Especially at church and get togethers before we eat our meals. Some people even pray together before every meal but we don't. We only do that for special occasions.

The prayer Jesus said before every meal but after breaking the bread is translated to "Thank you God of the Universe for bread/food"
It was a pretty standard prayer getting a name.
Hard to improve upon a basic prayer.
