Do you really want to know the truth?

If the truth makes them look bad or sinful or uncool or wrong or foolish, people don't want to know it.
If it makes others look bad, then ok, it must be the truth.
Jesus is the truth. Sorry but that becomes cliched after a while. If we aren't courageous enough to look at ourselves objectively, in order to improve, we aren't really interested in the truth.

We have to examine ourselves if we want to gr8w in Christ. It can be hard to face but at least we can do something about it if we face it.
It helps me to pray more too.

There is nothing hidden from God within our own imperfections that He can not see. The more we draw into Christ the more that the Holy Spirit will convict us of our wrong doings. Had my toes stepped on many times by the Holy Spirit for correction in my own life. To thine own self be true in that which needs to be changed as we are transformed into the image of God. Examine yourself that you will always be pleasing unto the Lord.
