Do you think everyone is a child of God?

There was once a man who spoke very few words.
When he spoke, the words he said were true.
Many did not understand him.
The few who did only understood after much prayer and thought. Even then, they would go to their astute friend and inquire about some of the difficult things he said.

That man is not me. I fail to show the depth of wisdom he has and even though I know that with many words there comes offense, yet still I can not help but speak (is it because I love to hear myself? (I hope not but can not say -- better to let my Judge say. Maybe it's just because I love you with my broken heart?)

Now then. We all know how a woman is, right? How they can get all excited? And for good cause too. Like when they are newly engaged and they just can't stop thinking about and talking about their wonderful fiancé. It's okay. We understand. She's in love. Well.... sometimes Christians are like that. Some Christ-ians just want to talk about Jesus all the time. I mean, it's like He's perfect or something! And they just can't get enough. So when He says something, the words that are spoken become treasures to the bride-to-be. She is almost enraptured by the wisdom found even in the simplest things he says.

Like that thing about how he does not delay. You see, she is looking earnestly for his coming. And there are some who might suggest that he's "slack" regarding his promise. "Slack?!?" she says, indignant! "I'll show you slack!" :rollingpin"

:nono But then her better judgment kicks in and she smiles and says, "He is coming," or "The King is coming..." --- nothing more.

As she continues her thought something is revealed; he is NOT slack regarding His promise (to her). But the reason we see what's happening is because He is NOT WILLING. So she imagines a very busy man behind the scenes and she imagines that when all things are in fact revealed and we even get to see Him like He sees us? Well, that will teach those hooligans who suggest that Her Loved One is a slacker. He's simply not willing. He's not willing that even the hooligans should perish but that all should have eternal life.

Then, with that sure knowledge in mind she goes forth. Angels are added unto her. Others too. And all that happens as she earnestly seeks her true and faithful lover is seen by those who long to see such things. Seen but never spoken of. Hidden.

There was once a man who spoke very few words.
When he spoke, the words he said were true.

Who shall Hear? Who shall be given an ear to hear?
Many are invited. I am certain that YOU are included. Let the JOY of the wedding ceremony fill us as we watch the train of the bridal gown go by. If we do not yet see this? That's okay. She will be seen. The WHOLE EARTH shall be filled with His glory. Enlarge your understanding and see what season it is even now.

Prayerfully yours,
Sparrow

14 "Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will not listen when they call to Me because of their disaster. (Jeremiah 11:14 NASB)

14 "I will not show pity nor be sorry nor have compassion so as not to destroy them." (Jeremiah 13:14 NASB)

"11 So the LORD said to me, "Do not pray for the welfare of this people. 12 "When they fast, I am not going to listen to their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I am not going to accept them. Rather I am going to make an end of them by the sword, famine and pestilence."" (Jeremiah 14:11-12 NASB)

"1 Then the LORD said to me, "Even though Moses and Samuel were to stand before Me, My heart would not be with this people; send them away from My presence and let them go! " (Jeremiah 15:1 NASB)

"6 "You who have forsaken Me," declares the LORD, "You keep going backward. So I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you; I am tired of relenting! 7 "I will winnow them with a winnowing fork At the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy My people; They did not repent of their ways." (Jeremiah 15:6-7 NASB)

Yes, God sees all and knows better than you or I. Some really come to the place of being beyond hope and God gives them over. Long suffering does not mean forever.
Please note that I seek to Love others as I would want to be loved, such is empathy, the Eternal Spirit.

A man had three sons. One son was ever obedient, and one was never obedient, and the third was sometimes disobedient but learned from his mistakes. Now the obedient son told the Father to cut the disobedient son off and count him dead, for he was a waste of time and hope. The son that was sometimes disobedient but learned from his mistakes countered, no Father, our disobedient brother is simply ignorant of the Truthfulness and Faithfulness of your counsel. He is drawn away with false expectations in things that will not ever bring him the happiness he thinks they will. In time he will see his mistakes and be sorry. Now the Father heard both sons and one He liked more than the other.

Instructions on Worship
2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles.

Since Ilove has not articulated the explanation you have just offered you can be right here and I can be wrong, Ilove needs to explain in either case but both of these positions are not supported by scripture. There is a gentleman, one I pray is saved, that belongs in my class for the Seniors but refuses to attend my class because I and our senior Deacon will not allow him to take control, make everyone shut up anfd let him talk and show a set of Heretical DVDs in my class.

His stated position is one of Universalism and when taught by him sounds very much like what I've read in this string posted by Ilove. All of these heretical positions are arrived at by extracting verses out of the context of the Bible and that practice is what is being practised here. The best example of this is used billions of times every day and is rooted in Matthew 7. The first verse here is extracted, as if it were the root verse and used to close the mouths of those seeking to do the will of God by rebuking sin. When the first five verses, the first paragraph, is read the meaning, clearly, begins to appear and if the chapter is read in it's context, it becomes cllear that weare to judge others as we want to be judged... righteously.

I do pray Ilove will open her heart to the leading of the Holy Spirit but at this time she is quenching the Spirit and is being led by a spirit... not of God.
Jesus said on the Cross, "Tetelestai" - IT IS FINISHED

Whoever has ears, let them hear.

Jesus said the place outside is the place of weeping and gnashing. And as I showed, he says that's the fire of the furnace--the same place where unbelievers go. This is not a place for saved people, but for the punishment of the damned. These are not Christians who have simply forfeited their reward but are still saved. They are damned along with unbelievers to the fires of eternal torment.
Blessings Jethro Bodine,

Pastor Dr.Tony Evans speaks out on heaven and hell. A must read!

I want to look at an interesting concept with you. It has to do with the statement in Revelation 22:2 that the leaves of the tree of life are for "the healing of the nations."

Revelation 21:4 NKJV says this, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” If heaven is a perfect place and we have resurrected, glorified spiritual bodies, why do we need a tree that produces healing? Why the need for a tree that produces life when we already have eternal life?

A possible answer lies in Revelation 21:24-26, in the description of the new Jerusalem. "The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.... Its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nation into it."

John is talking about a group of people who have access to the heavenly Jerusalem, but don't live there. He says kings and others come and go from the city bringing their glory into it.

In order to have kings, there have to be kingdoms for them to rule. John says there are people living outside the new Jerusalem who visit the city and bring their homage to God, the way pilgrims in our day might visit Mecca. Who are these people, and why do the need the healing leaves of the tree of life?

There is only one group of people left on earth to go into eternity in their physical bodies - those who were true to Jesus Christ and served Him during His millennial kingdom. They go into eternity after the Millennium with physical glorified bodies, not spiritual glorified bodies like we will have, because they did not experience death and resurrection.

To put in another way, these people will go into eternity with bodies like Adam and Eve had at their creation before they were flawed by sin. Their perfect physical bodies will be maintained through a special provision from God.

The bible indicates that the new, renovated earth will be occupied in eternity. This group from the Millennium will fill the earth because they will still be able to procreate. These people will make up the nations who aging the universe.

Would you please post the passage that states that?

At the end of the tribulation there will be believers and unbelievers. There will be a judgment called the judgment of the sheep and goats Matthew 25:31-46.The sheep who are believers in Jesus Christ will go into the Millennial Kingdom. The goats who are not believers will be cast into the Lake of Fire.Only the believers will go into the Millennium. They will have their earthly physical bodies. They will be able to marry and have sex. They will produce children in the Millennial Kingdom but not all of those children as they grow will be believers in Jesus.

Why were these people not caught up or raptured?

That was my first thought.

50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.

(1 Corinthians 15:50,53 NASB)

I'm thinking the Millennial period is before the Great White Throne Judgment, not after.

Kathi,
From the tone of your recent responses to me I know you are angry and I know not why nut this must be answered because you are guilty of adding what is not in the scriptures. I love Tony and his family and find it tough to believe he preached what you have reported but if he did he and I need to talk.

On this passage out of Matthew, again, you are imposing your thoughts on this passage and quoting no one, even, to do so making it yours alone, that's tough. Jesus, if we read the chapter, gave no time line here for this judgment and except for the Gospel Accounts of Jesus' life on the earth making a time line for this tough to find except we read all of the scripture together. When we include all the light of all scripture we find that there are only two of the three Judgments left to be executed.

Now, I know I just struck a match and need to put that fire out so let me do that. In Matthew 27:50-54 we see where Jesus went to the Old Testament Saints in Abraham's Buxom, a.k.a. Paradise, judged them righteous, turned them out and, I say, led them to Heaven; The first of three Judgments.

The second comes at the Rapture, Pre, Mid, Post, your choice and the third, the one you're misplacing here is after the Earth is destroyed by fire, perhaps, though I cannot judge it true, after the earth has been restored and Heaven has descended to be located on the New Earth. The Millennial Reign of the Christ has ended and the Lost that lived through the Great Tribulation, the converts that have taken Jesus for their Savior and the Lost that resided in Hell, their graves, are all judged at this, The Great white Throne Judgment.

Praying this helps you to understand the context of these matters and may God bless.

In other words those left behind?

What do you think?
In what sense would, 'child of God', be meant to apply here?

In the sense we are all created by the one and only creator we are creations of God. Acts 17:25, as an example of scripture that says that.

But not everyone born is automatically considered the sons and daughters of God.

John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

This rather sounds to me like the physical church here on earth right now.
There are those who have entered the kingdom, as Jesus said in the Gospels.
There are those who show up on Sunday going in and out. Hearing the Word of God, eating from the tree of life, but not receiving the kingdom. But that Word is the power to heal them. Open their eyes and unstop their ears.
NOT saying this is the interpretation of this scripture just that is what it made me think of.
