What do you think the pro and cons of wearing uniform cameras is?Do you think all police should have them on their uniforms?

Yes. I think a lot things people claim about them could then be proven false............. or, if they have done something wrong, it could be seen, and evaluated for what it actually was.

It could be an advantage or a disadvantage for the police.Maybe it will keep them honest?

Let's start by saying: what exactly does the cam do?

As I have mentioned before, I used to deal extensively with criminals. Sex Offenders, a lot. They LOVED to wear the tracking bracelets. It almost totally eliminated the police rousting them whenever something happened in the city. We, ourselves (by tracking them) were proof, positive that they were innocent.

recording should be always on...it should be able to automatically send data via the NET so that recordings can't be modified. Also battery should last for 24 hours at least. It should be able to warn the other end: 'hey this cop has disabled the cam or give every info about the cop's duty.

Hope hackers wont access it from the air :wink :chin

its a good stuff

I have known a couple who wore them and they did not like them at all.

it could provide good court evidence as one is to be found innocent until proven guilty, but anymore they are found guilty until proven innocent

You have some good points. What if the police say "Oh sorry the battery went out or sorry it was turned off".

The technology can be modified..and battery dying can be a rare case. Battery technology has greatly improved

I would say, of every hundred, no more than three would object. We liked that, too, because it tipped us off that there might be a reason they didn't want to be tracked. (usually, believe it or not, drugs)

That makes sense.
