Do you think that crying/feeling sad over nursery rhymes/songs that sound very suitable for a kid weird?

The reason I ask this is because today, my parents are watching Youtube TV and the sound was loud enough that it can reach to the kitchen. Anyways, there's a theme for kid's show for my country, which made me sad. Is it normal for all of us or weird?

Different persons are saddened by different things.
Even a smell can have an affect on a person.

If it makes you cry, then it reminds you of something and thus the response.

There's nothing weird about it.

Several traditional kids songs and rhymes have rather macabre roots. Ring Around The Rosie is from the Plague. Not fun at all when you think about it.

Hmmm….

Not to analyze but it sounds like you’re concerned about growing up and facing the world 🗺️ as an adult 👨. Perfect live casts out all fear…

And I think 🧐 it might be more constructive to look 👀 for ways to plan a future if possible than fear 😨 it or over idealize your childhood..

Praying 🙏 for you…

Hey All,
Music can be a powerful emotional motivator SailorWriter.
Next time you are watching a scary movie, instead of the words, listen to the background music. When things are as they should be, the music is calming. When things get serious, the music becomes louder and more intense. The film maker is using music to manipulate your emotions.
So yes it is entirely possible to feel sad after listening to music. The Blues are an entire genre of music dedicated to sad songs.

"My baby done left me BooHoo BooHoo!"
"My baby done left me, what will I do"
"She's gone away, gone away for sure."
"How long, O how long must I endure?"

Sad stuff. But the interesting part about the blues is that when you listen to them and you are downhearted, they actually can pick you up and make you feel better. Life may be hard, but I'm not going through what that guy is experiencing. So listening to the blues can effect your state of mind.

I believe music can communicate on a different level than just words. Did you know that some deaf people, people that cannot hear, can feel the vibration of the music. That's very cool.
Keep walking everybody. May God bless,
Taz

perfectly normal,
there's always something (sight, smell, sound, music, etc) that will trigger a memory and the emotions that are attached to those memories
