Does Anybody Know Whether or Not This Is True?

I found out that today that a longer belief in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny causes false memories. I was ten when I stopped believing in them, and I notice that my brain does seem to have a habit of causing false memories so I was wondering if that was the connection and the reason why.

I cannot even remember the day when I found out they were all fake, because i did believe they existed. I must not have been that heartbroken. I could have been but just don't remember.

When I was 4 or 5 I do remember trying to sing myself to sleep because I was afraid I might still be awake when these imaginary beings come so I guess they all kind of freaked me out.

What isn't freaky about a fat old guy that breaks into your house in the middle of the night and knows when you're sleeping and when you're awake?

It's one thing for God, but this guy comes down your chimney drinks all of your milk and eats all of your cookies, but yet parents still let him in the house because he says that he has something for the kids even though they deliberately teach them not to accept presents from strangers. Ah,.. the things in life that you start to realize once you get older.

That's interesting, have u got a link to the article id like to read about that.

Ye memories. Iv'e noticed that i still had memories from when i was really young, maybe 4yo. But when I looked into the hard drive I found that I didn't actually remember these early memories but i remember having them.

Eg I was about 4yo and broke a swing which hung from a tree, the other kids all laughed at me. Now i can't picture that event but it was in my memory for a long time so i remember having the memory. If that makes sense.

But memories are notoriously know to be incorrect.

I have only one memory that perplexes me still today. My parents have a statue of infant Jesus. When I was an infant i would of sworn that the Holy Child raised one arm at me as if saying hello. It didn't scare me and after that it never moved again despite me watching him closely sometimes. Did that really happen or was it a childs imagination? Probably the latter but u never know, the supernatural is real... LoL:chin

Yeah it's entirely possible. I know that for sure because I do believe that I had a ghost whisper in my ear one time even though I couldn't make out what they were saying.

Oh and it wasn't an article, it was written on Wikipedia and you know that that website isn't really all that reliable.
