When I first started following Christ everything seemed so fresh, life was going good, seemingly every prayer was answered, and church was so good. As I grew in grace and knowledge came trials to my faith I didn't expect, and faith seemed to evade me.
The thing is that God is growing us up into a closer walk with Him. He does have ministries for us and gives us gifts to accomplish them, and 1 Timothy 4:14 says it this way:" Neglect not the gift that is in thee." Let's take the Apostle Paul for instance. Acts 9:16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. The word suffer can also mean to endure.
Brother King James brings out a good point here in that your contact with other Christians could be lacking, and I don't mean you don't attend church, but more at are you involved with them in things of Christ. There's a real reason for assembling together with those of like faith. Our faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God; don't neglect it.
Does God hear you? Yes He does and He never leaves or forsakes us. Elijah must have experienced something like this when he said in 1 Kings 19:11-12 And he (The Lord) said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: 12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
Maria, sometimes we are looking for great things and wonders and all the time God comes to us with the STILL SMALL VIOCE as He through His word is leading us in the paths of His righteousness. You may think the heavens are as of brass hearing nothing you ask, and it is not so. God tells us to come boldly to Him in Hebrews 4:16, and so do so, though I will say things answered will be according to His will. He is not going to give you that which may harm you.
God bless you in Jesus' name.
