Does God love Satan?

He hates everything 'about' satan, everything 'from' satan, all the effects satan has on the world, and >> (see page with Scripture)>>

from

"Is it Biblical for Christians to hate Satan? Does God hate him?

This is one of those questions that are not directly answered in Scripture with a yes or no, but should be evident by what God approves of and what God hates. God hates falsehood, lies and liars- Jesus said Satan is the father of lies, who has no truth in him.

"Deuteronomy 7:9-10: “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face.

Yes,he does not love Satan and God does not want us to love Satan.

There are ways to interpret 'satan' where God might love the adversary despite his rebellion.

Rom 12:20 - Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Rom 12:20 - Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

the heaping coals are with a hope with or without expectation of results that the enemy(not the adversary) will repent and be forgiven.

satan can never in any way repent nor be forgiven.

there are places in Scripture that have never changed "God hates "+ ____________ and mankind of course ignores it and the anti-Christ takes advantage of man's natural inclination (i.e. worldly/human/fleshly 'feelings' that are always in error) against 'hate' to try to change the meaning or at least soften it like "Did God realy say...... ? " just like in the Garden, to deceive, trap, and trick people away from Truth.

"God hates "+_____________ is Scripture just as well as "God loves "+_______________ , but to get more of the population inside its jurisdiction the world government (mankind, political and religious and secular and ecumenical) tries to obliterate what God hates from anyone's view point, and even to get the public to officially and unofficially 'approve' what God hates. Just the opposite of what Jesus does and what Jesus clearly teaches His disciples.

That sure does not pertain to Satan.

That sure does not pertain to Satan.

I'm not sure i can fathom how Yahweh hates. I'm pretty sure it's not like I would. Maybe David knew. What's a perfect hatred?

Psa 139:21-22 KJV Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? (22) I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

I did not say "hate".I said does God love Satan?

Oh ok . I'm not uncomfortable to say I hate Satan is that wrong ?
I don't think it is wrong. If you said you loved Satan I think that would be wrong.I saw a bumper sticker on a car the other day that said "Real guys love Satan".

Well Satan was the first cause sin that tempted Eve and I don't hate her. Satan is the despicable lying critter that wants us all to die I hate him.

Depends on how you define 'satan'. There is not just a 'Satan', but many adversaries, some of whom God may perhaps love because they know not what they do, nor their right from their left, etc.

How you define Satan? As far as I know the Bible shows only one Satan.

I don't know if God loves Satan anymore but I guess he must have at one time since he created him. Also does God love the humans that die unsaved?

Yes,God does love the humans that are unsaved and I am sure it grieves him that they are going to hell.

Yes, but what about after they die and they are in hell?
I think I have read in the Bible that God will rule over hell.I will have to do more research.Satan is not going to rule over hell like in the Far Side cartoons :lol

I think the Farside Cartoons were created to make light of hell.I think Satan would like that.

There is 'satan', and there is 'Satan' where the former is often translated as adversary and can even be plural, and the latter is what we most often think of as the singular adversarial fallen angelic being. However, I think of angels as including any messengers of God rather than simply a non-human race of beings. So when any message from God is distorted from its true intended meaning in a way that is adversarial to God's desire for our well being, the messenger can be thought of as a 'Satan'. There are many distorted messages which seem right, but are really against us. Peter subscribed to one when he claimed to Jesus' face the folly of the Passion, for which Jesus rebuked Peter as a 'Satan' to correct him, and I'm sure we all agree that God the Son loves Peter.
