There are no advantages at all. God is seeking what is best for us. He puts rules in the Bible to protect us, as well as others. It is always better to obey God.

objectively that is simple and true. (it is written many times and ways in Scripture).

so, why do God's chosen people, OT and NT, constantly keep falling away in immorality ? it does not pay(ultimately), so why do it ?

yes, there's another thread about the wolves lies and how 'easy' it has been for assemblies to be ravaged by them. (even Ephesians after the Apostle Paul left after 3 years there).
i.e. not just 'internal' lies to ones' self, but from the enemies mercenaries...... oy! what a wicked world we live in! they're so tricky too! (no , i don't give them any credit, nor the devil....... just referring to the imminent danger always near, and the need to be soberly vigilant all the time.

Well,for me I used to love to go to the movies.I don't go to the movies any longer.The content has gotten worse.Although when I was going to the movies in the late 80's some of the material was suggestive.It did not effect me then.But it would now.

Actually these people who are interested in immorality really have something they enjoy. Alcohol, filthy partying, sex, drugs, fraud, etc etc. Who says there isn't something to enjoy? There is something to enjoy - absolutely! Immorality is such a sweet honeycomb . It is like a fruit. The body looks so great and edible and succulent. However the inside contains millions of warms. Until one cuts open the apple one does not discover such dreadful species of dangerous warms. Meretricious would be a closer word.
