Ummm...I thought the discussion about the covenant spoken of in Matt. 26:28 was being discussed since some, (even you if I am to judge by your past posts on this thread) believe that the 'many' in Matt has a directly correlation to the covenant spoken of in Daniel. To my knowledge, I was not debating Daniel, but the illogical conclusion that Christ used the word 'many' to fulfill the prophecies of Daniel.

Nevertheless, I think Matt 24:14 speaks to the question of ‘many’ - 14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.â€

Imho, YHWH knows the entire world will not accept His gift of salvation. In fact, He even states the this in Matt 7 - 13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Many will have their sins forgiven…and God spoke this knowing that many more will reject this gift. So, Christ died knowing those who belong to Him…meaning those given to Him by His Father and therefore couldn’t be dying for those rejecting Him. I guess it’s like if you can see the end from the beginning you say ‘many’ because you already know that your blood will forgive the sins of only those who are called and accept the gift.

Hi to all , and v28 says , For this is My blood of the New Covenant , which is shed FOR MANY for the remission of sins . I no that there are many other topics in verses 28 and 29 , concerning the Passover , New Covenant , and drink again , and the Kingdom or the Millennium .

#1 , Why did Jesus die " for MANY " ????

#2 , I thought , He died for the world ???

#3 , I believe that He DID DIE for the world , but Jesus said He died for MANY !!!! right ???

#4 So , what does MANY , mean , 10 Jews ???

#5 , Maybe 1000 Jews , because that is the Context , right ????

#6 , 100,000 Jews ????

#7 , Since we know that Christ died for the world , why did He use the word MANY , HERE ????

This should answer your question: 2 Peter 3:9 The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

"Israel" refers to ANYONE who seeks out God, led by the Spirit. Those who love are of God, will seek Him out, and are considered God's People. This is available to everyone, since Jesus told His Apostles to preach to EVERYONE at the end of Matthew's Gospel. It is available to Jews, Greeks, slaves, freemen, men and women, etc...

I agree all who receive Christ have been grafted in and become citizens of Israel.

This is why the church has been called "catholic" from the beginning. Universal. It is open to anyone being grafted in...
