Does Praying to/through Mary Get more Results?

Seems that if Mary provides an approach to Jesus/God in prayer that Protestants don't utilize, that Catholics should have noticeably better prayer results? Do Catholics claim this is the case?

Praying to Mary' gets you nothing.

So it is your contention that Catholics do not get their prayers answered, at least not to the extent that Protestants do?

If they are praying to Mary' no they do not get answerd. Mary ain't God. Or part of the Trinity' she is not a representative of God. She cannot intercede for us. All the information in the Bible on Mary will only come to about a quarter page, if that. Yes she was blessed to have Yeshua. But she is not interceding for us' in heaven. Give me a break' paleeeeez.

Praying to Mary will give you the same results as praying to a tree.

Is there any way you can document that your prayers (straight to Jesus or God) are getting answered, while the typical Catholic's prayers, by way of Mary, are not?

It's real simple' the Bible.

Well I can not stop at one, ten or even twenty. Many of my prayers have been answered praying to the Father through the name of Jesus. I would like to see some sort of Scripture that say's we should pray to Mary. Using the KJV or the NKJV. Anything but the Catholic Bible well cause I'm not Catholic, nor do I read it..

Catholics will take exception to the notion that they are praying to Mary, though. Would you ammend your statement to read that "if they are praying through Mary, they do not get answered"?

iF anybody prays to Mary, they would get the same results as if they were praying to a tree, a rock, a shoe, my fish.

Jesus is our one and only mediator. Jesus is our one and only intercessor.
We pray to God the father, through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

Another advantage in going to the the father is that we don't have to pay a dollar to light a candle so while that candle is lit something or a being I don't know what is praying for or interceding for us.

The Revelation 5:8
"And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints."

1 Timothy 2:1
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;"

We ask Mary to pray for us, just as we ask all the Saints and Angels, on Earth and in Heaven.
We as Catholics believe in The Communion of Saints, that we are part of a community, in The Body of Christ, in Heaven and on Earth.
A prayer to a Saint in Heaven, or even to an Angel of God, may not necessarily be answered more quickly, for only God can answer or grant authority to answer, any prayer.

Before asking questions about prayers of intercession, you should ask yourself;

Do I really believe in Heaven?
Are the Angels and Saints in Heaven?
What do people do up in Heaven all day?

Yes she was blessed to have Yeshua.

Indeed she was, and in a sense, she gave her life for Him. Submitting to the will of God, who asked her to give up her reputation, in a world that would say Our Lord was illegitimate. Being forced to flee to Egypt, from her home, for fear that Son would be slain, by the king. Asked to bear and love a Son, that would die young, in great suffering with herself as a onlooker, powerless to stop it.

For a quarter page of print The Scripture says alot about her.

She is prophesied in Isaiah.
She was visited by an Angel of God, and submitted to God's will.
She conceived a Son with The Holy Spirit of God.
She gave birth to Him and raised Him to a Man.
She fled into Egypt.
At her request He performed His first miracle, before it was His time.
She went with Him to Calvary, and saw Him crucified.
She was with The Apostles at Pentecost, and received The Spirit with them.
She was prophesied about again in The Revelation.

A very descriptive quarter page, I'd say.

The "Hail Mary" prayer:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art though among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Why is this a problem?

I recently was in desperate need of a job. I asked God and His Son to help me, and in a week of praying the rosary, I asked Mary to speak to Jesus on my behalf. Why Mary? Remember, it was she who spoke to Jesus and had Him turn the water into wine at the wedding. Jesus didn't want to, but she insisted, and it got done. And it only got done because she asked. Without her, there wouldn't be a bible passage about the wedding party in Cana.

As far as mediating goes, do you mediate when you pray for a friend or family member?

BTW, I start my new job on the 25th. Not only is it a better job, better benefits, better working conditions, and better hours, it also comes with a brand new car (or minivan, its my choice). To show my appreciation to Mary, I ordered what is known as a "Miraculous Medal" today and plan on wearing it for the rest of my life.

Does asking Mary to pray for you get greater results for you, and other Catholics, than praying directly to God? I am imagining you must believe so, otherwise why do it?

Now, jgredline, you said that praying to Mary was no better than "praying to a tree". But here we have a testimony that maintains real results from requesting Mary to intercede, and I am sure we could find thousands, if not millions, of catholics, who would offer similar testimony. What do you say to that?

I find this a difficult question to answer. I personally don't go ......let's see... that's 2 for Mary.

Jesus is perfect. He must honor His Mother's requests.

as the angel offers their prayers (Rev 8:3) with incense (compare Ps 141:2). This gives not the least sanction to Rome’s dogma of our praying to saints. Though they be employed by God in some way unknown to us to present our prayers (nothing is said of their interceding for us), yet we are told to pray only to Him ''Jesus'' (SEE Rev 19:10). Their own employment is praise (whence they all have harps): ours is prayer.

Man Mary did nothing, God takes care of the just and the unjust' so says the Bible. Proof many secular people have great jobs. Mary did nothing.

She said she prayed to God and Jesus first. That is when her request got answered. THe devil will have her believe that it was mary, to keep her believing in the lie.

prayer is not worship

The Revelation 19:10
"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Prayer and worship are not the same;

If John had asked the Angel in that Scripture, to pray for him, how might have the Angel responded?

Do you ever pray for your fellowservants and bretheren?

I bet you don't worship them, I certainly wouldn't.

You won't find anything in The Holy Scripture forbidding us ask others for intercession.
