Does the Bible have to say something is a sin for it to be a sin?

duh abortion as a word and the act( how modern society does it) isnt in the bible. But the context how the lord condemned the passing of the childrent through the fire of molech is related

Sin is sometimes called iniquity, transgression or abomination in the Bible.

I think Dave may be referring more to...whatsoever is not of faith is sin. If your conscience is weak on it...then you shouldn't do it. ie. Rom 14 and 1 Cor 8. That can be just about anything. spinning your tires, etc.
I do try not to bind myself up in legal knots though...scruples that are unnecessary.
