If so, state how today's Gospel materially applies to those people who are not receiving any aide. As well, help us to understand how the Biblical principles today taught in American Churches are to be explained to those people who are without any hope for their Earthly future such that they cannot act in response to God because they are consumed with loss, hunger, pain, and anguish.

Remember, talking about how Christian organizations and Faith Based NGO groups "try" to help is not in part an answer to this question. They reach only a small fraction of the needs. Do not talk about how "We need to try to do more." Do not patronize by speaking of "We."

Be mentally strong with the Power of God when responding here. According to Revelation 3:16, Jesus spews out lukewarm Believers who trust in lukewarm ideas.

Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.â€
-John 4:13-14

Oh and another good one... Heck let's just go for a good half dozen or so!

Matthew 7:7 â€Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.â€

Mark 9:29 And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.â€

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours

John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it

And then there is the classic:

What would YOU do? *dun dun dun*

What do those verses have to do with people suffering, starving, dying, and living in hopelessness within Third World Countries?

You know, it's hard to respond to your thread when you impose strict conditions like that - Do not do this, do not do that .... :shrug

If I had the chance to travel to these remote places, and be able to survive there in those living conditions, and be able to communicate with them and speak their language, I would love to go and help them in whatever way I can... :praying

Is there a reason you think the Gospel wouldn't apply to them? I always thought the Gospel was good news, a free gift of God. Can't see how Despots can change that.

[16] Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
[17] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
[18] And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

The material situation of anyone is irrelevant to the benefit of receiving and accepting the Message of Jesus. The reason one accepts the Message of Jesus has nothing to do with anything material it has everything to do with things spiritual and eternal.

I am not an American. But the Message of Jesus gives hope and strength to people irrespective of their current material situation. Not sure why you are linking the two. They are two totally different things.

Again whether the message of Jesus comes with 0% material support or 5% material support or 95% material support the Message and the Material support must be seen as two different things. They should be addressed separately because they are separate.

Why does one need to be mentally strong about this simple issue? You are combining two issues that are different, Like stating that Colors affect Numbers.

The very foundation of your question is flawed.

I might be somewhat controversial in what I say here. But starving countries, lots of kiddies lined up before a camera, its not like that all the time. Yes they go hungry, but you need to be careful to get those TV images and advertisements out of your head because you are viewing a corporate image. These are human beings who sin, who are just as for/against God as we are. The gospel does apply, it applies to everyone. God is not unjust, Africa applies to his glory just as every other nation does.
But Africa is something of a special case! Because it is full of christians!

The first bit is response to this idea that they can't understand the gospel if they are hungry. Jesus clearly said otherwise to your assertion and so I referenced that in hopes to clear up that little matter and help you better understand your mistake. So, you are VERY welcome!

Then you said to say how I'd help, excluding offerings and money to missions. Well that's like asking how you fight a structural fire without water! There is one answer to both hypothetical and that is prayer!

You are confusing the Gospel of Christ with the seductive trap of the prosperity gospel.

Does The Gospel Apply To People Starving And Dying In A Third World Despotic Country?

I am in Asia , and most of the third world countries are in this continent.
You know, majority of the unreached people group lives in the poorest countries of the world . People dying out of starvation is very common and it became the very stronghold of Satan so that the people will resist the Gospel. " The poor are the lost and the lost are the poor" . They need to be found , first by the Gospel of God. The word of God is powerful , living, and effective so when He said" Let there be light" and there was light. Note that the word came first before it happened.
So my answer to your question is yes the Gospel is very applicable to the Third World Countries.

Re: Does The Gospel Apply To People Starving And Dying In A Third World Despotic Coun

Rom. 2:14-15 has God telling us that He does not need us, but that it is a LOVING PRIVALEDGE to serve Him. And DEATH?? We are all going to die if He does not come first. Even here in the USA many die painfully & in bunches at times.

And the only thing that is of importance is that one lives 'up to the light one has been given'! Rom. 8:14

What more could a Loving God do?? James 4
[17] Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Yet, that does not mean that God is liberal with NO REQUIREMENTS.
Luke 12
[46] The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

[47] And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
[48] But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Yet, there is NONE of mankind that could not learn of God through His creation!
Again Rom. 2
[13] (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but [the doers of the law shall be justified].
[14] For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, [[do by nature]] the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
[15] [[Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts]], their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another
[16] In the day [[when God shall judge the secrets]] of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

So it is a fact that there in none of mankind who has had NO STRIVING of the Holy Spirit on them to surrender their will to Him!:thumbsup
