Ok, if you're a fan of the Dragonball series, an animated japanease comic, then you're in for a terrible movie time.

The story is totally different from the series, the entire timeline is skewed. Piccolo, the main villian could easily scare small children.

If you haven't seen the animated series then there's still a real slim chance you might enjoy this movie a little, but I would avoid it if I could.

The story follows an 18 year-old named Goku, who lives with his Grandpa. After learning of an ancient prophecy, Goku must fight his inner-demons to overcome an evil alien named Piccolo, who wishes to destroy the planet using the power of the "dragon balls", seven sacred relics that grant one perfect wish to the one who gathers them all together.

At the end, after some of the credits roll, it gets set up for a sequel. It really just made me roll my eyes.

I give this movie 3/10.

Never seen anything on Dragonball.

Took my nephew to see it and I actually enjoyed it.

May be one of those films that changes too much to be enjoyable to the fans.

Thats like every other one! :lol

I used to watch DBZ, but did not care much for how the whole series revolved around Goku...if not, Gohan....or Goten. Got old really fast. Then...I have not been one to have a strong liking for the main characters. As for the movie...have no real interest in seeing it.

I have been a big fan of X-Men comics, and the cartoon series, and I liked X-Men 3.

The X-Men to movie has been one of the few comic-film adaptations I have liked, save for a few of the Batmans.

Wolverine is one of my favorite comic book characters, and I hope the screen adaptation of his background is good.

I want to see an X-Men movie that includes Apocalypse.

I agree with you on every thing except I did not like #3. I hated how they killed Cyclopes & Prof. X. Wolverine is my favorite too, in fact I named my first born son Logan after him.

Ugh. I thought the movie was awful.
:verysad

It just wasn't DragonBall. I didn't have the same feel of the series, and of course the story was completely changed.
And if it wasn't Dragonball, then it was just a martial arts movie. And while I'm not a big fan of martial arts movies, I think there are much better ones that this movie.

I thought it was really weird how the movie started out as a typical teen movie, Goku was the average loser high school kid who was bullied by the jocks and wanted the jock's girlfriend, then suddenly turned into a quest to save the world.
I also found it odd that all of the main characters were asian, except Goku. :confused
