Bible Study Ecclesiastes, A Bible Study by Chopper & Reba.

For Chopper

This is for you but refers to Malachi's post no. 300

Could you please comment on what he says?
It refers to Mathew 18:20

Malachi says:
He also said that if two of you agree on anything in prayer, it shall be done, and where two or three are gathered together in His name, He is in their midst.
This is from Mathew 18:19

When Jesus says that where two or three are gathered in my name, isn't He specifically referring to being present when members in a church are trying to reconcile between themselves? And that He is present at the proceedings.
(go to your brother first, if this doesn't work go to the pastor, if this doesn't work, take it to the whole church...etc) IOW, the Holy Spirit will always be present concerning church matters.

If we take that comment to be general, doesn't it mean God MUST answer all prayer wherever two or three are gathered to make the request of God?

The way Mathew 18:20 is always understood has always concerned me as to expectations from God.
Are we allowed to expect everything from Him that is asked by two or three?
I'm always worried about people treating God like Santa.

This Scripture can have many applications: in the home, in the church, in witnessing, in soul-winning, in business. Hence the proverb "Two heads are better than one". Christ always sent out His disciples two by two while applying this principle. He also said that if two of you agree on anything in prayer, it shall be done, and where two or three are gathered together in His name, He is in their midst. There is a very sound psychological and spiritual principle behind this, which most of us are not aware of.

Are you going to make us aware?

There's strength in numbers.
What one misses the other might catch.
We strengthen each other.
One could protect the other.

What else??
