Why should we concern ourselves with what the professed NON-Christian says ?
It is a basic Bible principle that, EVIL...has always tried to justify its course of action, from the days of Adam & Eve, to today, as the modern day Christian world has fallen into the very same trap.
The Christian world of today justifies, its course of action ...AGAINST.....what God says to do.
Example ?
Eccl. 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.
12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.
The Christian world denies this Bible statement, as being the word of God, in both word and action.
Yet, GOD....says: Revelation 22:14 "Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city".
Again, the Christian world denies this statement of Jesus Christ's...... Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Many times the cry: 'Legalism', goes forth when anyone mentions the keeping of the commandments of God, regarding salvation.
QUESTION: Did Jesus teach, 'legalism' ?
The reason Elton John fights against religion....is because it (the Law of God) condemns his course of action.
The Christian world is no better, as it also fights against the Law of God because there are things in the Bible which the modern day Christian, does not want to do.
Ever read this Bible verse......
Luke 6:41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
6:42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
