[__ Prayer __] EMERGENCY!

Update:

They found a pain med that works for her.
Things are settling down finally.
Hopefully going home tomorrow.

My wife wants to thank all of you for your prayers.
You've all really touched her heart as well.

I'm still praying for her total healing, and will add that she is able to tolerate the needed medicines to ease her pain in Jesus' name.

Broke her femur?
I don't know Jason.
My wife is doing all the talking and that's very little due to exhaustion on the other end.
My wife did say she has a plate and a screw in her leg.
I know very little details.
I'll get on the phone when they get settled.

Update
Brittney broke your tibia and fibula.
The break went right through her skin.

She fell into a small river and was in it for 1-2 hrs. before being rescued.
She was covered in mud and it took a long time at the hospital for them to clean up the leg before they could do anything.
So they are worried about a future infection.

The doctor said she was close to an amputation.
She's skinny and the plates and screws will have to come out of her leg in probably 8 months.
More than a year for rehab.

Here's the current problem.
Her pain is not under control and they will not release her to go home until it is.
She screams in pain if her meds aren't on time.
My daughter went home, prepared the living room as Britney's bedroom, then got the news that she couldn't go home.

They are expecting 4-6" of snow starting today so she won't be going back to the hospital right away.
So she's not out of the woods yet.

Usually a fibula or tubula break are more common.when a femur breaks it takes a long time to heal

Here she is.
Oooh, bless her heart.
My brother was in an car accident in Fort Bragg, was a 82nd airborne.
He was laying down in the back seat, car crashed into the back door, where he was. Crushed his legs underneath him.
Broke both legs in numerous places.
He had pins, bolts, screws and in traction.
It was a long recovery also, had to stay at vet hospital for about a year.
He got hooked on that morphine for pain, bless his heart.
All better now.

Hope all goes well with her, beautiful girl, you should be proud.

Dear God please help this family as they go through this. We ask that you would heal her leg, keep her free from infection, and preserve their faith and increase it through this trial in their lives. Above all we ask for your will be done and not our own. In Jesus name amen.

This girl's gonna kill herself.
And with her attitude it's been a concern for years.
Why the first and third children are so wonderful and the 2nd is hell bent.

She checked herself out of the hospital yesterday and had her boyfriend drive her to her mother's house (she has her own apt. near college).
Then the doctor refused to give her all the meds she was getting (he wanted to wean her off some of it before he released her) so now she's crying again.
On one hand everyone feels bad for her.
On the other hand everyone is giving up on her and saying "let her suffer, teaches her right).
We are far away and can't help.
My wife will try to talk to her today for the first time.
The two grandmothers are about the only ones the girl will listen to.

Sorry I hadn't seen this earlier, but I'm praying now. Not only for her strength to get through the pain and recovery, but for a lick of common sense to listen to the doctors and do what they are telling her to try to help her. She's a nice looking girl. Thanks for the picture so we can all have her image in our minds and hearts while praying. But please, Lord, give her some common sense right now!

Well, even better, Lord, give her knowledge and acceptance of YOU! Then give her that common sense!

She looks like her mother who looks like her mother who looks like her mother.
And they are all as stubborn as can be.
Only this young one ain't saved yet.

I know what you mean, my 2nd child, a daughter, was the hardest one to raise.
Don't know if it is the hormone thingy or not.
No trouble much, out of my son.

Be praying for her..
