Or maybe it's played out- got your fill from other forums.

Animated Clone Wars Grevious was-
:o

Ep III Grevious was a bit less spectacular.

Great battles, intrigue and BGs, vehicles, etc.

"Absolutes are bad" is lame (you'll hear this line at one point).

That's a wrap on the series! (completion is good) :smt109

I caught this yesterday. IMO, the best of the last three films. Still had its problems.
Someone needs to inform Lucas that he cannot write dialogue. Some of the material the characters were saying was enogh to make me grind my teeth. Pacing, was this movie suppose to cover the events of several days or months? Everything was going by so fast it was hard to tell. also, there was one event going on that could only have occured over a 6 to 7 month period. At lest by the norms that I am aware of.

As far as dramatic intent, this is the best of the three films. Great battles and special effects. characters that I actually cared about.

And no Jar-Jar! :D

Episode 3 ROCKS!! I am a true Star Wars freak. I am still battling (without light sabers) whether or not I think this one beats "Empire Strikes Back" for the best of all 6.
Unfortunately there are several mistakes in episode III as well as them not answering a few questions. I am hoping the cartoons on Cartoon Network will take care of a few of these (I told you I'm a freak).

And no Jar-Jar!
At least not much. He did have a few small cameos.

Anyways, sorry you all didn't enjoy it as much as I did.

Excellent movie it was

I would say it was good, but Hayden Christianson or whatever his name is, is a horrible actor. He made me grind my teeth at a few parts because it was so bad. :sad

What I like is more Yoda and Emporer fight scenes. :D

Not great, but still good. Entertaining. And the biggest observation was that unlike the previous 2 people didn't leave mad. :-D

The episodes 1-3 suffered from dialog problems. I started o rewatch episodes 4-6 and saw a much better interplay between the characters and much better dialog.

I did like episode 3 much better than 1 or 2. I thought it played out very well.

------------------SPOILERS-------------------

I thought Anakin's conversion was a little too fast. I think they should have showed Palpatine using the dark side on him to prep him or actually have a Jedi betray Anakin.

I thought it was interesting that the dark side is emotion & determination and the light side is peace & logic. It seems to indicate that the dak side is not evil, but seductive. And the light side is not good, but intellectual. I figured that someone bringing balance to the force would be someone that could wield both the light and dark in harmony. Maybe this will happen on episodes 7 to 9 or on the TV series.

I thoight that Anakin would have died and the emperor would have shown that he knew the scret to immortality by resurrecting him. But maybe that would have played off too much as an anti-Jesus symbolism.

i don't think the Emporer really knows the secret to imortality. i think he just used it to lure in Anikin.

I liked it the best of the recent three, but after 1&2, that ain't saying much.

My order from Fav to Worst as follows:

1. Empire
2. Star Wars
3. Sith
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Phantom
6. Clones

I agree with the above posts, Lucas cannot write dialogue, particularly love scenes. The scenes between Hayden and Portman look so forced and boring it belies their actual acting abilities.

All in all, I think as Lucas' digital ability has increased, his dependence on this writing and plot development have decreased.

I didn't like the re-release of the original three...too much cheesy CGI and special effects.

Like the beginning of this flick, where the battle was so overwhelming I had no clue what was what. Way too much CGI and blue screen.

Something tells me they spent four days in a green room filming the people, and two years filling in the rest with CGI. Didn't care for it.

Lucas reminds me of the dork in high-school with the pick-up truck lifted 4 feet of the ground and all tricked out. The truck would have been cool if he hadn't added all that crap to it, and the guy was still a dork.

Lastly, I think he raised more questions than he answered, and when he did answer questions, he did it so quickly it was a let down. The erasure of the droids memories, Anakin's conversion, the birth of the twins (how boring was that scene when she named the kids?).

Wow, the more I write the more I am killing this movie. But I did like it, and my above comments I guess are more generic against Lucas. He should stick with CGI and dobly and help others make good movies....he jumped the shark with Temple of Doom. Stick a fork in him.

The Star Wars films are my favorite film series. Though I'm sure many many people will disagree with me, I would have to put this one at the top right now. Maybe that will change once the newness of it wears off.

Sucked, it did....(with apologies to Yoda)

 Though I don't agree with your opinion of the movie, I love the way you chose to express it!

I'm not a self-proclaimed Star Wars fan (geek  ), but I have watched all three of the recent movies. The first one was ok, and the second was a little better but III was definitely the best of them. The action was excellent and special effects were awesome. Maybe I liked more because most of the dialogue was between people characters and occasionally machines and not so much with those stupid freak animal things or whatever they are (I'll let Yoda be the exception). There was a lot of suspense waiting for Anakin's anticipated heel turn to Darth Vader. This is a solid movie for even the casual movie enthusiast.

One thing that truly irritated me, I don't know why but it bugged me...

Obi-wan:

It's over Anakin! I have the high ground!

Anakin:

You underestimate me... *jumps at Obi-wan* ... *fails*

Wouldn't it have made more sense to walk up the cliff? Or use 'the force' on Obi-wan? Something?! Standing on a mountain apparently makes you invulnerable to everything... but I digress, it was a pretty decent movie. Best of the newest three anyway.
