Can a born again, born from above, born of God believer lose one's salvation?

  • Yes, because only past sins are forgiven, each sin must be confessed or else.

As for me I cannot vote because I don’t believe the questions posed can adequately reflect the meaning of it all.
That is why there are two answers for other; a "yes - other" and a "no - other" answer, so that you can elaborate.

I recall crossing swords with you in the past Solo and we each had different perspectives on what it meant to be born again. I don't doubt that while we may use the same words - ie 'born again' and 'salvation', our perspectives on each vary and that is why I cannot answer 'yes other' or 'no other'.

I will say this. I believe the gift of God (which is the gift of eternal life) is without repentance. ie it cannot be taken away. While some may see this (gift) as 'salvation', I don't. I see it as the gift of life. And those who have been given such a precious gift need to 'work out their own salvation' in fear and trembling. Sadly scripture indicates that some will treat the gift with contempt - so while the gift of life remains, their reward will not be eternal reward in heaven but eternal damnation and suffering in the place prepared for them.

Then I should have added the answer: Maybe depending on your opinion of what salvation is.
