Evidence

there is no such thing as evidence.
Yes there is.

You made this thread. How do I know this? The thread creator is listed as Oats. That is evidence.

If someone makes a claim that it is snowing. I can go to a window or go out side and check. If it is snowing when I look out, evidence has been produced for the person's claim.

Funny thing about evidence: how often we just trust people and take their word for it: If someone told you a new store had opened in town, you won't generally wait until you see the evidence, you just believe them ...

A teacher I once knew, once told us about a court case he was part of; he was a juror. Anyway he said they were all debating the 'evidence' and each were giving their input. I can't remember the exact story but apparently everything hinged on whether the accused could say get from a - b in so much time to commit some crime in the lorry he was driving. They were all basically saying he could. They were there all day and as time was moving on they all wanted to go home. So eventually a man piped up saying he's been a lorry driver for x number of years and he was saying it's virtually impossible for the accused to be able to do it as it'll involve too many complicated maneouvers.

Everyone said, 'oh' and the verdict was returned as 'not guilty'.

Even the class went 'oh'. But then our teacher said, 'but we only had his word for it that he was this lorry driver. No-one questioned it, they just believed him'.

So the class went 'oh' again. lol.

So it goes to show that it doesn't always require evidence to make people believe something. Even in a court.

No, thanks for commenting

How do you know I made it

I did make it, i can tell you but cant provide evidence

there are many reasons why i made not have made this

but I did

no evidence exist however--

How do you know a hacker didn't do it?

Though he didn't

----

I'm still confused, though i know im somewhat right

correct me if i'm wrong

I think only God can truly convince

theres some level of faith even amongst those they dont believe. what i mean by this .

when i go to start my car i turn the key and i know that it will start. why that is what i was told the key does(and yes this is verifiable by actually learning about the starting system of a car).

but still we dont know that one day it may not start as from a dead battery or something else

so their evidence for that thought and belief. but not so solid that theres abosolutely no faith.
one cant just know when a battery gonna quit. it just does one day.
