But you're forgetting one major factor: "Science is da tool of da Devul!"SyntaxVorlon said:No, it doesn't. Because at basic levels the definition of life and nonlife are blurred. Virii are not alive, they are just replicating sequences of rna wrapped in protein packets. But this sort of near life could eventually become considered living if it wasn't already in the company of life.
You don't have to. You can go and read the papers that come out. You can set up their experiments and test them. They detail every part of their procedure. If you think they're lying test them. If you don't then you're just blowing smoke. And someone still needs to prove to me that scientists aren't lying, and being a conspiracy. Why should I blindly believe science and human knowledge?
That is because that is NOT the purpose of science. Science is about figuring out the how's, not the why's. If you want why's go to philosophy. My problem with science and evolution is that no matter what, they never answer the "why" questions.
Well done, you've completely ignored my blurred borders between life and nonlife statement. At this level life is nonexistant, but its predecessors are. A replicating protein is not alive. But given mutations it will find ways to replicate better, faster, more often. This is the humble beginning of life. But still no actual life forming has been observed by anyone. just pieces of what makes life does not count.
No, it doesn't.

There are only three differences between humans and other apes.
Body Hair: We've got less, though in the case of mediterraneans not by much.
Erect stature: We stand up, all other apes have a bone structure that leaves them partially bowed down.
