Exquisite Counterfeit

Gandhi was another sinner like the rest of us.

He needed a saviour like the rest of us.

As far as we know Gandhi rejected the gospel and remained a Hindu till he died.

It is interesting how the people here will idolize a man and reject the Son of God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Thessalonian and Gary. This thread has a topic.

Let's stay on it...

Thanks guys...

Really? How interesting...

Gandhi is held in high esteem but the biblical Jesus and His gospel were both rejected by him.

Gandhi may be a great man in the eyes of some... but he was just another man in need of salvtion and that is the point of this thread.

Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

This is not the invented Jesus of the Hindus, drug users, and the cults but the Jesus of the bible.

In other words this isn't about the counterfeit Jesus of the lost...

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

We dont know that for sure.....

You never spoke to Gandhi and do not know his heart on the matter of Jesus Christ.....

In fact Gandhi is said to have had a picture of Christ in his office and NOT Krishna.....

If Gandhi was a Christian he never told a soul...

We could say that about Joseph Smith, the "Reverand" Moon or anyone else for that matter.

Gandhi said...

"I came to the conclusion long ago … that all religions were true and also that all had some error in them, and whilst I hold by my own, I should hold others as dear as Hinduism. So we can only pray, if we are Hindus, not that a Christian should become a Hindu … But our innermost prayer should be a Hindu should be a better Hindu, a Muslim a better Muslim, a Christian a better Christian." (Young India: January 19, 1928)

"I worship God as Truth only. I have not yet found Him, but I am seeking after Him"

"I call myself a Sanatani [Eternal] Hindu, because I believe in the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Puranas, and all that goes by the name of Hindu scripture, and therefore in avataras and rebirth..."

"Even as a tree has a single trunk but many branches and leaves, there is one religion  human religion  but any number of faiths."

The bible does not teach that numerous faiths are of God.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.

"My effort should never be to undermine another's faith but to make him a better follower of his own faith."

Jesus told us to preach the gospel to the world and to turn from idols and even told the Jews that they did not believe He was the Messiah they would "die in their sins"

The bible says.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 17:17-20 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

The written word of God is the only way a person can know what Jesus taught...

All revelations that contradict God's word are of the flesh or the devil.

1 John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

If Gandhi believed the gospel before he died then praise God. If he did he took this secret to the grave with him.

If he died believing what he stated then he was not saved.

There is salvation in Jesus alone.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

heheheh,

So out of the 500 different denoms....

Which one is not of the flesh?????

But I guess Sabbath breakers wont get that one...... 8-)
