Lets do a what if O.k.? good* The rapture doctrine/theory proponents say the mark of the beast takes place after the rapture of Gods people. "What if" that doctrine does turn out to be a doctrine of demons "what if" the rapture doesn't take place. In your own words "no scripture" what will that do to a persons faith "enhance it" or "destroy it" This is a two choice answer those are your choices.. please don't go off on a tangent try to stay on topic..

Thanks guys... :thumbsup

I'm not talking about the Lords second coming this is a rapture/doctrine theory thread..:)

Would love to play, but the answer would be that faith would remain unchanged. Thats probably breaking the rules or something. Hehehe

Well, since the rapture takes place at the end of the Tribulation when Christ returns and Jesus said that in the end many would all away it seems that when the tribulation comes there are many who are going to be deluded.

You should be ready for any scenario. If you are prepared for any of the Rapture theories out there, then you won't be caught sleeping. If the Rapture does occur at the end of the Tribulation, imagine how many sleepers will take the mark because "It's impossible for the Rapture to occur after the Tribulation." Closed minds could get a lot of people in trouble. Regardless of what happens, I am ready!

Great answers guys just not the answers this thread was asking for, maybe i should rephrase. A babe in Christ hears the rapture doctrine/theory for the first time he/she thoroughly believes it to be truth, they can't hardly wait for Jesus to come and take them away from all of this, when they see the mark being issued and their still here.. what will it do to their faith "enhance it" or "destroy it" This is a two choice answer those are your two choices..

Thanks.. again..:wave

Given those two choices, it would have to enhance it. We are in Christ and Christ in us, so who cares where He takes us? He may have work for us to do to help increase His harvest. People will need help and guidance during this time. It doesn't sound fun to go through the great trib, but it also doesn't scare me. I am in Christ and am here to do His will and not mine.

...And another thing, how in the world could one be deceived, being in Christ?! :lock

"As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept." -Matthew 25:5

This is from the parable of the 10 virgins. The bridegroom will be delayed, and nobody will be ready. All will be sleeping. There is no rapture to come and go. The doctrine is totally irrelevant. You can wait for one all you want, but he is not coming when we are ready.

Err What I understand is that the rapture happens first and all the believers alive at the time will go to heaven. Also all believers that have passed will have their body that is on earth and their soul that is in heaven reunited and brought to heaven. Then the unbelievers that have passed will be resurrected and they along with the non believers alive at the time will go through the 7 year tribulation. During this time some will have a second chance to become saved. Then Christ will return for his 1000 year reign. After that's over then the new heaven will be created.

O.k. that's one for enhanced.. when the believer/babe in Christ learns "that doctrine does turn out to be a doctrine of demons" and "the rapture doesn't take place" that believers faith will be enhanced..

Thanks Edward..:thumb

Thanks TOB. I think that millions will turn to the Lord during the Great Trib. I do think that there will be a rapture or perhaps even more than one, but it is impossible to determine when it will occur, all views of when can make a good case for it, but I think that of even greater importance is not that there will be one or when but the very fact of the Lords will being done on earth and within us. The Lord will need many workers and representatives both now and during that time.

Hmm. You've given me an idea for another thread. I don't want to stray too far from topic as you requested, but I think that our main focus as Christians now and during the GT is to keep our faith in Him and His Word. The most difficult aspect of this of course is to remain steadfast in our faith and walk in the Spirit. If we live for the Spirit and are in Christ, and He in us, how can we be deceived? For it is written that no one can snatch us from His hand and He will not leave us. We can not doubt this and must stand on His Word in faith no matter what tribulation comes our way. If we trust in Him and walk with Him, any tribulation or adversity which comes could only serve to enhance our faith because we know that we are in Him and consequently...the greater the tribulation, the greater the Glory to God when the particular incident is resolved so to speak. Does that make sense?

Yes Edward it makes very good sense, for one that's grounded in the faith it strengthens our faith the shield of faith by which we are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, but for the weak the feeble, a stumbling block. Satan is a coward he goes after women and children first, Lord willing lets get into this further after a few more replies.. :)

The Rapture will come at a time we may not expect, but the bible clearly dictates that we will be able to see it coming for those who watch. This verse also dictates that some of his faithful watchers will not be caught sleeping. Therefor they will not be caught by Jesus as a thief in the night, rather we will see him coming.

(Matthew 24:42-46) 42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 45"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

Sorry tob I kinda missed the point of the thread. I don't think I have a very good understanding of the rapture cause I thought that believers would not be present on earth after the rapture?

Just a friendly reminder guys..

In your own words "no scripture" (what will that do to a persons faith) "enhance it" or "destroy it" This is a two choice answer those are your choices.. please don't go off on a tangent try to stay on topic..

If you don't want to answer you don't have to.. you have "two choices" use them wisely.. :thumb

*edit: forgot something.. In order to answer you must first read the opening statement..

"The rapture doctrine/theory proponents say the mark of the beast takes place after the rapture of Gods people. "What if" that doctrine does turn out to be a doctrine of demons "what if" the rapture doesn't take place"

We walk in Christ. Live for the Spirit. Rapture, no rapture, shouldn't matter. We are in Christ, so rejoice at anything and everything He leads us too. No rapture means, more time to allow the work of the Lord to be done through us. Being left behind, or realizing there will be no rapture could only mean that the Lord has a mighty work to do through us so we rejoice, and see the honor it is to be able to be found worthy enough to be an instrument in one of His works. :)

So enhanced brothers and sisters! Enhanced! :)
