FAVORITE BANDS

What band is your very favorite?
Maybe even two....
Why..IOW, tell us something about them.

Mine is U2...
from 1985.

I like U2. Want to learn something about U2 that you probably do not know?! Their song, where the streets have no name...It is about the city of Breckenridge Colorado. I am not sure if they were playing there or just on a vacation but when they were there, the town had a lot of construction going on and I guess they had no street signs up. So they wrote that song.

I grew up with rock and roll which is now Classic rock, but as I get older I find that my musical tastes are changing somewhat. Though I do still like Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix...now I listen to other stuff, like Alison Krauss and Union Station (bluegrass), Skillet (Christian Rock), and recently I have rediscovered Grand Funk Railroad! (Some Kind of Wonderful!)...

and somehow over the years I began liking some 1950's music, wow! and many times I wake up to Worship music. :)

I also like Diana Ross very much. Her and Aretha Franklin. Man can they sing!

Ohh my! If were going to go back that far, then yea gotta throw some classic Ozzy in there! Hey, not all his lyrics are demonic, and Randy is one of the best guitarists of all time!

Lauren has to be my favorite!

Lauren is by far my fave Christian artist!

Lauren is by far my fave Christian artist!
Mine too! Along with Mercy Me. Gotta love that happy dance!

I was able to see Lauren live a few years ago. She was simply amazing! Saw her at Winter Jam and it was the first I had ever heard her. I was hooked with her first song and purchased her cd at the venue.

ohh...I almost forgot CCR!

Green River...:rocking
My brother in law was a huge CCR fan. He was the one who taught me how to work on cars. My Dad was a mechanic, but he always asked if i read the book. That was when Chiltons actually told you how to repair your car. Now they tell you to go to a shop!

Anyhow, i spent many hours with him listening to CCR.

Good times for sure.

eagles are by far a very talented group but Lordy they loved to fight among themselves seen a video them exchanging words on stage . then wanting to fight in parking lol lol

Really? I never knew that lol :lol

yup they broke up said hell would freeze over before they played again..they go back together next album tittle hell freezes over 1994

ROTFL!!! :hysterical:hysterical:hysterical That just made my whole night LOL!!! :thumbsup

they was bad drug addicts and alcoholics

That's pretty sad. :sad Anyways I'll come back to watch the other video later and I'm surprised that I haven't shocked anybody with the fact that I even know who The Eagles and CCR and the other legendary bands are. Thankfully I was raised on good music. :)
