Here are some of mine:

"At the time, you might think it's a mistake that you can never undo. Even if it is, if we kick and scream and fight like hell we can move forward a little. I was always taught that even if you don't believe in yourself, you need to believe in the fact that everyone else believes in you. That's how it should be. At least I think so"
~Simon, from Gurren Lagann

"There's no such thing as a painless lesson. They just don't exist. Sacrifices are necessary; you can't gain anything without losing something first. Although, if you can endure that pain, and walk away from it, you'll find that you now have a heart strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Yeah... a heart made Fullmetal."
~ Edward Elric, from Fullmetal Alchemist

"You haven't figured it out yet? I'm the Saiyan who came all the way from Earth for the sole purpose of beating you. I am a warrior you've heard of in legends: pure of heart and awakened by fury. That's what I am! I am the Super Saiyan, Son Goku!"
~Goku, from Dragon Ball Z (I think my anime nerd is showing)

There are others that don't come to mind just yet, but share your's.

Reminds me of a similar one; "Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from poor judgment.

Here's one I always liked;
"There is no "try". You either choose to do, or choose not to do."
(Yoda)

"Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on."

Led Zeppelin

It's been forty years since they penned that. Time is running out.......their long run isn't as long as it used to be.

I think there is always still time to change.

"The little lights aren't twinkling"
Art--Christmas Vacation

(Sorry, mine aren't going to be so profound :lol)

today is a good day to die.

"I see only one hope for our country, and that is when white men and black men . . . desiring only the good of their country, come together to work for it. . . . I have one great fear in my heart, that one day when they are turned to loving, they will find we are turned to hating." - Msimangu, Cry the Beloved Country

"Just because you don't know how it works doesn't mean it isn't true."

(I don't watch many movies, so I have to make my own movie quotes up.)

Did you get that from Princess Bride?

That was from an old Western movie but I can't remember which one? Young Guns? Hmmm

Today is a good day to die...tomorrow is better. :yes

NO,star trek, a Klingon says that before going into a battle.

Jason, I remember it was used before, maybe many times. But, I remember this from Little Big Man, at 1:40 in the video clip. It's a great scene.

Legend has it that as Crazy Horse charged into battle he could be heard yelling "Hoka-Hey".

Roughly translated: It is a good day to die.

.

My favorite movie, in spit of the ending that makes anyone with a heart cry, is Love Story. My favorite series is the one with Archie Bunker, Carol Connors poured his heart into eliminating racism. A book, the movie was good but the book, Papillon was incredible.
