FDA yanks voting rights of a safety committee member

Of course. From what I read, he was worried about the adverse effects of the birth control pills like blood clots and whatnot. But, hey! Who cares? Just dish 'em out to the ladies and then they have reason to put them on rat poison thinners, cholesterol pills, and other worthless sugar and/or poison pills as well. Makes the economy tick, right? :lol

Looks like they have an agenda and that member got in the way of their agenda.

BINGO! Now you know why I'm against "medical" science with the same "pills" agenda. Don't get me wrong. I'm OK with trauma medicine and helping an injured or diseased person along. It's this "preventative" stuff that is needless albeit highly politically charged.

Hate to sound callous, but the cure to not having babies is dresses down, pants up, not the other way around. Either that, or get an operation--- harmless enough.

Or a few hours in the hot tub :toofunny

Well I wrote the FDA off as a joke about the same time I understood who they were. Look at their ridiculously low "averages" for daily food. I'm sorry but people need more protein than what they "recommend". If your body doesn't get protein it destroys the muscles you do have in order to obtain it. And counter to popular belief protein doesn't adversely affect the kidneys in any sensible dose. Obviously it's very much a per person number but a normal person can eat at least twice their weight in grams of protein per day without ever have an issues beyond maybe a slow bowel. :lol

It's just an example. They also over inflate a lot of things too.

My favorite one is that they recommend everyone has 24g of fiber per day and then they go and tell everyone that if they are not having a bowel movement three times a day they are in a bad way. Well with only 24g of fiber of course you are not going to be hitting the toilet three times a day. Heck you'll be luck if you even see the toilet every day on that number! :eeeekkk

Yes, Pard, if you've been reading my posts here I've been also criticizing the FDA and medical world regarding nutrition as well. Even food has become highly political. I think people are sadly lacking in protein, and they cringe at saturated fats the way Dracula cringes at the cross as if it's something to be avoided at all costs. But a normal body breaks down saturated fats to monounsaturated--- the best kind. So go ahead! Eat that butter and your taste buds will thank you for it.

When we look at the dietary advice, it's basically all sugars --- "whole grain" foods and bread (which is usually refined crap with corn sweetener in it). Fruit (more sugars) and vegetables (they are good for you but not many calories). When all is said and done, there's no fats or proteins, something the body can work with better. Instead, they treat us like piss ants that all they want is spilled sugar, then they wonder why there's obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease and whatnot.

The FDA recommends all that bread which is actually bad for you. I tend to aviod processed bread because I have a hard time with it.

Yes. That is true. Again, in my posts I've been warning about breads and vegetable oils and other processed stuff like that. I won't even allow margarine in this house, just butter.

Likewise, I sun myself, don't worry about cholesterol etc etc everything that would make the FDA, Big Pharma, and many doctors cringe. Since I believe those who did any amount of study in the nutritional field find that they are preaching folly a mile long, they know better and tell others (unfortunately many people just accept what is dished to them and don't know it yet, but live a life of misery thinking they are doing their body good). So the only way to silence people who know better is to mandate stuff eventually, and pull other stuff off the market --- like the doctor who recommended to ban butter.

It's the same thing communist Russia or Nazi Germany used to do. Since they can't sell crap to everyone, then just mandate it and convince the rest of the people that those against the mandates are unpatriotic troublemakers. This is why I'm against governemnt healthcare. Most people see the issues from the economic end. I see it from the freedom end. They will tell you what to eat, what to drug yourself with and whatever else as a qualification to keep the insurance. And of course, if a person does not have insurance, they will be arrested for not having any, and then in jail they'll have more reason to drug a person up. :eeeekkk Those big CEO's have to keep their 8, 9, or 10 digit salaries going while us 5-digit people are asking for too much. Sorry.... IMO no CEO is worth 10,000 common workers a town size in salary, but that's what is speaking. Geeez. No wonder I believe in the Illuminati. Rant done. :lol
