1Cor.14

[1] Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

(this to be number one)

Gifts: 1 Cor. 14

[12] Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

If so lets see? 1 Cor. 12

[28] And God hathset some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
[29] Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? (Hardly!)

Exod. 15

[20] And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

Numbers 12
[4] And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
[5] And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
[6] And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
[7] My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
[8] With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the [similitude of the LORD shall he behold]: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses

OK: This prophetess blew it, bottom/line. And it seems that God wanted her to be embarrassed, huh? And yes, Moses even blew it later on as a human being in smiting the rock. But the [point is is that Miraim was a female Prophetess under the ranking] of Moses.

And this next one! Who today could do or would take the judgmental words of any woman as this Inspiration has a woman do?? Most are even go it alone 'loose cannon's' as I see it??? And if they made it to heaven as such, we would see how the rebellion of satan came about by just watching them here on earth!

Judges 4
[4] And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
[5] And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim:
and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment. (can you just see that taking place today?? A man [other] than the Moses type of 1 Cor. 12:28's Apostles First, having a woman judge him??)

And another? 2 Kings 22 (sure sounds like an inquiry of what God was going to do, from this end, to me!)
[14] So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college ) and they communed with her.
[15] And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,
[16]
Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:

Another: N.T. in Christ's day, Luke 2
[36] And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
[37] And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
[38] And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and [spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.]

One more
Acts 21
[8] And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.
[9] And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

OK: In Eccl. 1:9-10 & Eccl. 3:15 we must find a very similar repeat in the Lord's last Virgin Church. Not only a prophet, but a female prophetess. And Anna was old & died of a good old age as well. We are promised such in Joel 2 + Acts 2:16-18
[16] But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
[17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
[18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Last days? It was the Last days for the probation of Israel! Matt. 23:38 But there can be no later day than just before Christ returnes a Second Time! Note this Prophecy still in Acts in this Joel repeat again Prophecy by Peter's pen!

Acts 3
[19] Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
[20] And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Well, we will leave that for now. Most think that their sins are already removed from the Eccl. 12:13-14 Record Books, huh! And the Latter Rain is a LAST DAY REPEAT. And it will only fall on the honest in heart, but it will & is already in progress! As the Matt. 24:21 'tribulation' increases, so does the needed Grace of Christ increase!

I'm sorry Eliyah, but what is the point you are trying to make?

Thanks for the PM, but I'm sorry Elijah, but I'm still not getting what you are trying to say. Are you just pointing out the obvious - that God deem women as important as men? That He bestows the same gifts on us all? That we all have weaknesses regardless of our gender? That He sent His Son for us all?

I'm sorry, but I often don't understand what you mean with your posts.

I don't understand, either.

For simple folk like me, it needs to be spellt out in words of one syllable.

Good, glad I am not the only confused one. I tried in earnest to understand this post, I really did... but yeah nothing.

In other news, I too like females. :D

:toofunny Alabaster, this post (all two words and a pic) is an instant classic! :rolling

The pic is perfect! I don't understand the OP either. Instant classic! INSTANT CLASSIC!! :lol

One nice thing about Elijah is that you cannot really argue with him because you are not for sure what he said. I kind of understood his post, he seemed to be defending both sides of the same issue.

Elijah,

Amen.

Rev 14:4-5
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. KJV

I love Alabaster for her humour amongst other things. Between her and Theo I try not to drink anything while I read because I had coffee come through my nose a couple of times already. :D

Wow! Joe, it is good to find one that 'still' believes in Exod. 20's Eternal Ten! + Matt. 4:4 & 2 Tim. 3:16's complete BOOK!

Even though we are out numbered & out dated!;) And, the OT clothes for women of Deut. 22:5? + mens stuff, is like these ones of today? :screwloose

But not for these GODLY WOMEN of yesterday! (let it all hang out + a modesty rail on the platform needs to be 5ft tall today! And actually the trouble lay's elsewhere!) But,surely we are the Heb. 5's 'milk drinking' ones of today, huh:thumbsup

'Satire' of course. But see John 4:6 + 2 Peter 3:16 for the Born Again Serious ones!

Hush, Theo! Get back to your cage!

Elijah, are you implying that none of us (except for Joe) still believes in the 'Eternal 10'? :shocked!
Was this thread about the way woman dress nowadays? I'm not sure, because I read through the OP again, and I couldn't find anything except your referral to 'the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe'. ;) If you are indeed referring to the way women dress, I can't agree with you more. Woman dress like 'ladies of ill repute' and it seems like they aren't happy if they aren't walking around half naked with men drooling as far as they go.

As a reasonably intelligent human being, I am always SHOCKED when a poster comes in and replies to Elijah. I scratch my head and think, "What the hey! How did you even get him?"

Two peas in a pod, I guess.

Many teach saved by faith alone, and thats it. Don't they?? OSAS But back to the women.
Just looking at Theology as a 'practice'.

This is where the creation was at in one point of time, & how they are to be again! Most do not know that Godly women played an important roll in the Prophetic gift of it. And that in the last day prophecy, there will again be Godly women whom God will use. And the men, where are they at?? See John 20:19 for a glimpse of what it is like for 'some' of these non Born Again ones. These of today sure are not the 'marked' ones of Eze. 9:1-11 that were the [only ones] spared of God, while [all else] in 'Mine hearing' were executed by God, useless huh! (ibid. 2-4)

And God gives a picture of all of these other women as well! Isa. 3:8-26 (ibid. 24-26) Sure is present day truth from an repeat, 'me' thinks.

The same repeated picture as seen below.

And Eccl. 1:9-10

[9] The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
[10] Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

Eccl. 3:15

[14] I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
[15] That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

I understand this OP concept. females possess intuition greater than males so prophetic gifts should manifest in females more. Elijah has picked up something in the bible tht is not often spoken about, actually that I have never heard before, good 1.

Hi, Elijah did not say.. 'females possess intuition greater than males..' But God does & will use whoHe so chooses. And note in Joel 2 (+ Acts 2) the wording for oneself?
But my 'point' is that 'Godly' women have been & will continue to be used of God in Prophecy. *But, SECOND TO MALE Apostles! 1 Cor. 12:28. (as 'i' see it, there are NO Women apostles seen in scripture!)

Joel 2
[28] And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

[29] And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
[30] And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
[31] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Again: This IS a two/fold Prophecy! Eccl. 1:9-10 + Eccl. 3:15 [TWICE DOCUMENTED!] See Gen. 41:32

Yes, Junia was a woman apostle.

Women are not SECOND to anyone.

Yea, and I see that the respondent DID NOT understand, as he corrected that poster in his reply.

Elijah - can't you EVER respond to someone with your own words, your own thoughts? Some of us would like to have an actual conversation with you, but you make it impossible with your cryptic posts.
