In that case, we disagree, and I see no Biblical support for this position. Quite the contrary, there is are very strong Biblical reasons to suggest that one important role for the church is to challenge the powers that be - calling them to obedience to the their true king - Jesus. Will they listen? Probably not, at least in most cases.My point is that we should be vocal about our concerns, but not to the people who make the laws. We need to pray to God because He is the one who has the power.
But that does not discharge us of our responsibility.
I do not see how this text supports your position.Luke:21:25: And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luke:21:26: Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Luke:21:27: And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luke:21:28: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
