Fireproof Your Marriage

My husband and I heard this on the Long Island Christian radio last night. It brought tears to my eyes and I just had to learn the name of the song. I found this video on YouTube, too. It's from the movie "Fireproof." I'm sure some of you have heard of it. It seems like a great movie. I'd like to order it soon.

I saw the movie and thought it was terrific. It's rare for such a Christian themed movie to make it to the "big screen". This was produced by the same church that produced "Facing the Giants".

Keep in mind when watching this movie, the acting isn't exactly first rate, with some exceptions. As with Facing the Giants, virtually all actors volunteered their time. This church in Georgia has created this production ministry. I know that FTG was filmed almost entirely by volunteers. The acting, lighting, filming, directing was all volunteer work. FTG was set around a high school football team. I believe the only paid staff were a few sports cinematographers hired from ESPN to give the football scenes more authenticity. Other than that, they had church members bring food, hold lights, etc.

Fireproof was a rich movie that can be applied to many of our marriages, regardless of how strong or weak they might be. I have a wonderful marriage, and I over-achieved in it. :biglol A friend was having a lot of difficulty in his marriage, and I bought him the book used in the movie. (this will make sense when you see it) It really helped them come together.
